PlayerAuctions is horrible

[and everybody uses it]

Clunky UI, slow, poor design, horrible live support (from three separate individuals), and rigid verification processes.

WHY IS IT SO POPULAR

 

Allows buyers to use direct paypal and protects sellers from chargebacks....

 

I could pay someone $20 for a site with actually reliable coding. I shouldn't be prompted to verify my account mid-purchase TWICE, then have my money leave my bank account before it was even verified. That's incredibly sketchy.

 

I don't know any other site that is as legit as player auctions when it comes to taking the hit for paypal payments. But yeah it is pretty stupid how they would have to ask for ID multiple times.

 

I understand the need to reduce fraud as much as possible because it IS a serious offense but holy fuck, I do NOT need to supply four fucking forms of ID to buy gold for a damn browser game. A U.S. driver's license is two forms of state-approved ID in my state. Buying gold should never require more proof than a government ID.

 

Because of all these sites that produce fake IDs they need more than just an ID. Yeah its a browser game but in the end if they aren't careful their business loses money irl. Imo PA is very generous letting people order up to $100 using paypal/credit card without having to provide any form of identification.

 

I wouldn't say it's horrible its just very tedious. It goes through lots of security checks.

 

This is true, It took them so long to email me back about an issue, and when they did they gave me a useless response.

 

I agree, the process is extremely tedious, however, they want to make it as safe as possible. Especially for their own asses.

 

It gives you added protection when using pp.

 

in my experience it does not give extra protection.... on two occations people have bought gold from me and charged back/stolen cc.... and each time ive had to pay a hefty fee...

 

I looked into it and found better just to sell your accounts for gold and then re sell, using pp is so hard with charge backs these days.

 

PlayerAuctions have easily paid me over 20K usd, I like em yea their support sucks but hey.

 

I never understoed how player auctions worked, if someone wouldn't mind learning me pm me please!

 

I tried purchasing gold via PA yesterday. After an hour wait and discussion with their atrocious live support team, I cancelled my order.

PA won't keep your money lol. You'll get back every dollar in the order within the next few days. However, if you paid with credit card you may lose some through fees from your institution.

 

They've given me back one of the charges. The other one still sits as completed.

 

Used it a dozen times as a buyer no problem... to avoid complication check seller reviews.
