does runescape detect a proxy?

I'm using a proxy but it still states the same ip when I log in

 

If it states your other IP then obviously it does detect it and gets your real IP. It's not too hard for a website to get your real IP through your proxy.

Proxy's don't work for that shit, you need to use a VPN cutie.

If its Javascript, web proxies are useless

They're usually very cheap. Free ones are usually pretty slow or limited in some form.
