SVU questions

first off good job matthew on the new donation center looks good. my question/s are

1.) If we already paid with a paypal account, do we have to do it again for the rank? if so why?

2.) going off the first question, shouldn't the $5 fee be waved for those who have already donated in the past?

My reasoning is, we donated to the site to help the site, or get a rank ethier money is for the site, so shouldn't past donators get a free pass for the SVU?

They have to pay for the SMS fees unfortunately. Although they're probably minimal fees, our $5 probably has to cover the fees of anyone charging back and shit. >_<

 

i don 't use cell phones, so that wouldn't apply to me, and my theory is my past donations should cover that fee shouldn't it?

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think a cell phone is necessary for the verification process.

The problem with using past donations to cover the fees is that every time someone becomes a SVU sythe loses money. Its also easier to keep track of the information that comes with that payment if its being sent directly for SVU.

 

but my paypal is linked to my bank account which i've donated it through before i would think i would be verified. i would think my bank number/routing would be attached to the donation.

 

Once it is out of testing mode it will opened up to everyone. So it will be irrelevant to if you have donated before or not because non donors will be able to get it.

No you asked if it should be waived for people who already donated but once it is open to the public it won't matter if you have donated or not. That's my point.

 

if the $5 fee should be waived if you have already donated, you are confusing yourself Elena. Another prime example of your spam.

To OP I am on the same boat as you, I believe the fee should be waived for high donors, considering we have invested quite a bit into the website already. But I was not fussed with the $5, but it could be another perk of donating.. To also verify yourself to donate.

 

i did not ask if it should, i said it should. why would it not matter once its public you would still have to pay the fee would you not?

my comment has nothing to do with non-donors, it was implying the $5 fee be covered by people who HAVE donated.
