Max accounts worth less?

The idea seems crazy, but wouldn't you think Maxed accounts are less in demand? You can't pk much with an account with full melee stats and there really isn't much to do once you're maxed out.

When I say maxed out, of course I mean maxed out. All stats 99, all quests complete, all items acquired.

You think someone would pay top dollar for this right? Well, I beg to differ. Most people buy accounts to pk, starter mains for completing life goals like slayer capes, and for various other reasons that all lead to nothing when everything is done.

With all of that being said, these accounts still go for top dollar (haven't seen much for 07 like this, but EoC applies too). Feel free to post why these accounts still go for ridiculous prices!

One reason would be for gold farming. It would be a lot faster/easier to kill harder monsters or slayer monsters with a maxed account, making a profit faster then lesser accounts. There's also the possibility of future content needing such stats to be able to compete for drops/kill the monster down the road to make even more profit.
Its hard to even imagine or atleast for me since the only thing I enjoy doing is pking/staking but there are people out there who actually like monster killing and all that other stuff outside of fighting other players lol

 

Is see your point, but it also opens a new market for people whom are too lazy or just want the satisfaction of owning a maxed account, my opinion is that the accounts are prestigious itself and should not devalue just because you have nothing to do on it. Quite frankly I'd pay a lot more for one 'If I didn't already have a maxed acc'

 

Worth less? No.
Less demand? Probably


Only a few people have the money available to conduct a purchase of such an account, even less are willing.

 

I agree that the price tag will still be high, however there is almost no demand for such an account. Maybe the account itself isn't worth less, but the business and profit opportunities it presents is not worth the hassle of building maxed accounts (for the sake of selling them).

Yeah this is true, i have looked and there are tons of maxed mains for sale, and decent zerks and what not are bringing more money.

 

Pking accounts have always been worth much more than a maxed account. Every max account I see sold just ends up being used for goldfarming, not for actual playing.

So many people have played and quit, many accounts get passed on to a friend or sold. Accounts with 300 days of play time are worth a penny per hour of play time.

 

This is complete bullshit. There is demand for maxed out accounts. It's like saying no one wants to buy alot of rsgp just because most people buy like 50-100m instead of 2b.

They have gone down in value a bit over the past months/year, but that's simply because there are more maxed accounts now.

 

There is a demand, sure, but I've seen comp cape accounts go for much less than a maxed zerker in the pre-EoC days.

 

People buy them to merely show off. All so you can make alot of money with a maxed account IE Bossing, Skilling, Selling things like DG floors. =p There's much use for them
