Playing Legit?

I think there is, to learn more about the game and to work out what setups you like and such. No point going to PK if you know nothing about the game as you won't know what to equip or what to switch to.

 

I've never played EOC, so maybe for that I guess.

As for 2007 scape, not for anyone who's played since classic, or even before 2006. You'd be familiar with almost everything, know the fastest and most efficient methods of training and making money. That's one of the major reasons RS07 has become more and more inactive; whether people bot or don't bot, they acquire and attain all their goals 1000x faster - the game loses it's nostalgia value, and people quit.

 

Very true, I was excited when it was first announced that it could come back however on second thoughts it will never be the same, the community has changed everyone knows everything about it as you say.

The best part about it was that you had to learn the ins and outs of everything and the community wasn't predominantly jerks.

I play legit, and only legit. I personally don't find any enjoyment in a program playing on my account for me. There would then be no sense of achievement and I would end up getting bored quickly.
