    Best Place in the USA?

Ever since i was young i've wanted to live in the states, There's a few places i know that i like the look of, however i've only been to a couple of places in the US and it's hard to know where to look if you haven't been there! So my question is, to those of you from the US, where are the nicest places to live? The more detail you can give on the area the better! For example, the climate, what the employment is like in the area, is there good nightlife, or is it suited for families. I really appreciate any replies!:)

Edit: feel free to ask if you want more information!

Don't even think about living in Florida... I'd personally prefer the northern states like Maine or Vermont :) Florida is full of hot weather, angry people, and poverty

I don't live in the states, and I don't think I ever will.
But if I had a choice, I would move to Florida only because Disney World is there. :p

Dont go to California. I hear its a really shitty over populated place to live. Not to mention the smog. I assume if you went there you would get sick almost instantly.

I see where you're coming from, I like cities though so I don't mind crowded places! I'd quite like to live in New York , but a lot of people say it's miserable to live there?

Never visit those warm climate areas Nevada, Florida, California... These tourist hotspots are only nice for tourists. Coco beach is filled with cigarette buds, once you leave the strip there's not much in Las Vegas besides poverty and hookers, and California isn't what everyone thinks it is.

Northern states Are more versatile. I have family that I've visited in Arizona, Florida, Nevada, and Colorado. But I've visited over half the country as we use to take 3 weeks in the summer from when i was 6 - 12 visiting different sections of the US. Best IMO was Colorado. They have "richer areas" & "poor areas" But poverty seems pretty low, the climate was stable, friendliest people I've ever meet (next to my state), Not to mention you have a lot of personal liberties and your close to the mountains, lakes, etc. Very very nice all around. Arizona is a nice place to live also, but it's hot. Not humid hot but i mean like direct sun ray cancer hot.

In all seriousness, move to Washington state. It is the best state by far. It has either the highest or second highest minimum wages in the US, isn't over populated, and is really a nice place to live. Washington has a ton of amazing snow covered mountains, a flat dry area to the east, rain forests, beaches, and isn't full of dumb ass tourists like other states. Washington cities such as Seattle have amazing nightlife on top of that. Washington is the best state tbh. Seattle or GTFO.

I'm not sure where you heard that. They've really taken some great measures to reduce the smog. Also, the smog problem is mainly in LA. There are some great smaller cities throughout California (i.e. college towns such as Davis and Santa Barbara). The weather is beautiful most places, too. Hands down the best weather I've ever experienced.

I've lived in all three of the most populated states in the US (California, Texas, New York). I'm partial to warmer weather so I prefer California and Texas. NYC is nice, but I can see why some people might not like it. It's very crowded.

Edit: I've been to almost every state in the U.S. My favorite states would have to be California, Texas, Hawaii, Arizona, and Colorado.

Some parts of Texas is scary. But small towns near Dallas are actually really nice. My Aunt lives in a town called "The Colony" and it is probably the nicest place I have ever been to. The weather is nice, they have nice landscape, the biggest outlet mall in AMERCIA (its fucking huge). I also really love Seattle.

Don't go to Ohio. Highest suicide rate... There is a good reason for it. Ohio can be nice, but 80% of the time it looks like shit and the people are really poor.

You would be best visiting them all yourself to be honest. I loved New York, but I've only been there once. I saw NYC, up-state, buffalo... lots of interesting things there.

    Detroit?....

Only good thing about Detroit is the red wings. If you wanna get hustled or mugged in an ally way I guess Detroit would be good for you. The only semi nice place would be downtown, but it's nothing special just a lot of businesses and whatnot.

What part of Florida are you talking about?

Honestly, I would say Florida. If you love warm/hot weather all year round, it's perfect. People are friendly down there and if you like seafood, you should definitely go there. Specifically I'm talking about Miami, Orlando, Clearwater, and Tampa. I love Florida.
