    How do you study?

Each person has a way that they revise best. It's different for each person so I can't help there. Although I usually:

    • Work out the number of pages I need to learn for a subject
    • Work out the number of revision sessions I can do up to the exam
    • Minus a few sessions near the exam to recap and do past papers
    • Work out minimum page numbers I have to learn each session

If you do something similar to that ^^ it is really best to try and do MORE than the minimum. It will give you more time to do past papers. Past papers are great way of checking you have understood what you have learnt.

I also recommend trying to find somewhere that is quiet with no distractions around you. That includes phones and anything else. I also tend to work for 45 minutes, break, 45 minutes, break. If you keep going and don't stop you will take less in.

If you can't take something in go out for a walk, run, etc... something to take your mind of it!

Before the exam don't stay up late revising. Best thing is to stay fresh!

    Best of luck

It depends entirely on your professor and how the class is taught. Some classes go straight from the book, and you study just by reading, and rereading. However, I had two classes I made an A and a B in this year that I didn't even buy the textbook for. If you are a thorough notetaker, I would review those. Make a study sheet of one line things you need to learn, redo tests from earlier in the semester if they are available to you.

I'm a visual learner and so displaying info. I need to remember in coloured codes, lists and sometimes with small illustrations helps.

When I see the question, I can visualise the layout of my notes and remember what was written there. It's not quite photographic memory but it rocks. Shame I only discovered it this year :p
That's for general questions though. For essays I write them out once and then speak them as though I'm learning a speech, eventually I know it without looking. It also helps to understand the analysis points of an essay rather than just remembering.

Some other things that may help:
    • A stress-free environment. Perhaps a public library or a relatives house. This relieves the stresses you may feel at home. (Also is less distracting)
    • Rewards. Studying for long periods can be as ineffective as not studying at all. Do a couple hours then watch a TV show, walk the dog, go get lunch etc. then have another couple hours.
    • Split it up. If you have exam leave like we do in the UK then personally I follow my timetabled college day whilst at home. You could also split it up as longer amounts for the more difficult subjects etc.

    Best of luck

    How do you study?

study all your notes and do practice questions.

If you get any of them wrong or you get it right by guessing, figure out why you got it wrong.

Then once you figure it out and master it, keep doing it for all the practice questions and make up your own practice questions or questions that you anticipate will be on the test.

Don't simply study, actually apply what you learned and you'll do fine.

Honestly the best thing you can do is make sure you're somewhere where you won't get distracted e.g by the TV or radio because then your mind will wander and you'll end up doing something else and thinking "I'll study later" I'm horrible at this because the laptop is my distraction.

I always feel like it's better to be too cold then too hot, depending on what type of person you are.
Just make sure not to OVER STUDY because you'll think "oh god" and usually end up giving up.

I don't. I might spend a couple minutes skimming over some of the reading but I don't ever really study.
