How has gold crashed so much

There was 7 years behind the game in 07 and 5x more active players yet I still remember it being 8$/m but then again I know its not the same, seems everybody is out to make irl money these days and less people selling back then

In 3 months its $2.5/m will it stop?

 

Since I have some experience in this scene, if RS doesn't come up with a new "something" that will make a significant difference in 07 economy, prices on gold will continue to go lower and lower.
Same thing with the EOC.

 

I've just come to thinking everybody is out to make money.

And the only ones raking it in are stakers

I was making $2/hr tops camping abbysal demons which is one of the only consistant legit methods

 

Yes until something is done similar to cluster-flutter (client obfuscation & legal issues to de-ob it) then obviously prices will continue to drop. Nothing is stopping the bots and it seems like there's a new bot every 2 or so weeks.

 

because this is OSRS not the real 2007 scape. These two games, although similar in terms of gameplay and such, are actually totally different in terms of community dynamics, player base...

OSRS is a bs subsitute for 2007 scape and eventually it will become dead. Jagex just doesn't have the right people, or put it a bit harshly, doesn't have developers who actually have a brain.

 

I totally agree with his statement. and to add more, the number of sellers in 07 are increasing so it also affects the supply/demand of gold.

I also thought that what will happen to RS07 when the beta for RS3 is over.

 

Its just simple:

1. More supply than a few years ago. (more people want to make money with RS)
2. There is less demand, the number of players on RS has dropped through the years.
3. There is way too much money in game (atleast in EOC) and that is what will be happening to '07 too.

 

As i remember in old runescape prices was about 1M -3-4$ not 8$

 

Yep I used to sell a fair amount back then

 

The game has lost it's hype. Loads of players are over that nostalgia and have quit, and more and more are quitting daily.
