Oh just shut up. That is ridiculously ignorant and just plain idiotic, considering hip-hop is actually poetry. It has more good lines than any other genre of music.

Although I don't agree with the idiots claiming that hip-hop sucks and/or has no good lines, most of you idiots on the other side posting 2-Chainz and Lil B lyrics are just as ignorant. Other than maybe a couple, most of the so called 'gems' posted on here are pure garbage. Most of these new-age rappers are, they don't even rap about anything that has MEANING other than smoking weed and banging people hoes and killing people. There are still great artists though, like Tyler who does have much deeper meaning to his lyrics, as well as Logic and many others. But I'll be doing classic quote's mostly!

"Poetry, that's a part of me, retardedly bop
I drop the ancient manifested hip-hop straight off the block" - Nas

"I switched my motto; instead of saying "fuck tomorrow"
That buck that bought a bottle could've struck the lotto" - Nas

I'll leave you guys with this:

"Have you ever thought that every time you listen to a track
That's four minutes of your life that you can never get back?
And that's a hell of an investment
    So when MC's blessing
We gotta think very hard about the message
I ain't tryin' to hear about you sippin Crystal in the Bahamas
When I'm drinkin Nestle Quik on a crowed bus full of maecenas
And give us appetite to check by knowledge
I'm starving for Versace but you never mention college
So I'm supposed to get it and be a rap star like you
How many of us can do that for real? Very few
If I sell drugs, or die, or go to jail, or go to hell either way
If you keepin' it real how come there's no truth to what you say?
Remember this, we make rap stars rich and company's even richer
I aim for your brain until you get the picture"

    Edit:
    Forgot this one:

"I'm over their heads, like a bulimic on a seesaw
Nasty Nasdaq, Y'all gonna bow homes, it's Dow Jones
.80 cal chrome, needed time alone to zone
The Mac left his iPhone and his 9 at home"

Anyone catch any of the references in this one knows what the hell hip hop is about, otherwise, ya'll fake as the rappers you listen to.

Did someone seriously put a 2chainz lyric in here? Anything by one of those ymcmb faggots is fake as hell, lol..

The best rap lyrics are gonna be from the real rappers, Eminem, Tupac, Logic, Mgk, maybe a few others.

    Logic has some amazing lyrics. Here's one that is currently in my sig (however, expanded);

"And even though there's been moments when everything have fell through
We kept it moving, assuming even the greatest fail too
I swear this business shit is do or die
I never contemplated suicide, I'm too alive
In front of thousands, but I'm talking like it's you and I
And every day few will find their dreams because few will try"

This whole thread should be full of Lux's lyrics from that battle.

    My favs:

"You niggas came here playin', it's cool, but you're gon' leave givin' head counts,
They didn't even book you nigga's rooms, I told 'em Harlem hospital givin' beds out!"

    And

"I'ma put it all in your catches mit,
Dying in this ring is a sure thing and, you're the definite. (Death in it)"

    Pretty much lost my shit.
