Personal and Business Sections

I have seen people start from the bottom sense being here and becoming trusted and they didn't get the comfort of their own section. People have been doing it from the beginning. sythe has been around sense 07 i think 06 possibly. Everyone started as newcomers they worked their way up i don't know why there should be a special section doesn't make sense you could compete if you wanted to anyone can as long as your practicing safe trading. Which you also said no one contacts you but then you say they do. Which that imply's that your not being skipped over.

And with regards to your idea, I think at the moment, it's quite easy to determine who has a gold store and who is just selling up the last of their GP. No support from me, wont change anything. And if it was implemented, whose to say who posts where? Will create more dramas.

 

You don;t understand what I mean. I'm not here to start a business I just want to sell my account/money and then I'm basically done with runescape. I don't really have the time or products to work my way up to becoming a trusted seller and that's not what I'm here about. I'm getting the indication sythe isn't for coming and selling your old runescape stuff you don't need anymore though, it feels like you can only sell if you're running a business you intend to stick to for months/years.

 

Nate, what you aren't understanding is if you sell to the more vouched members, you will make less but you are guaranteed the sale. If you choose to go through sales to another person, then you can make a LITTLE more, but run a much HIGHER risk of being scammed. That's the entire point on why they can still get sales and make a profit on it.

You're right, you are not a trusted member, so you cannot demand the same level of trust that others have worked for, and you have indicated that you will never reach that point, so don't stress over it, just sell your stuff securely and be done with it.

So at this point, you don't really deserve to sell at the same competitive price they do and expect the same security they do; dividing it into two sections wont change that at all.

Comparing sythe to ebay is hilarious... if you get scammed here, you don't have TWO billion dollar companies to back you up, you just get called stupid and can get the person "banned."

 

So basically you only care about the long-term huge sellers and not the individual? Because when you put an individual's topic into the same section of the gold shops it's rare anyone legit will come to you.

I dont demand additional respect, I just dont like scammers pretending to have it and manipulating it.

I dont want to sell for 0.3 but I'd like to sell for a bit more than the gold shops buy...

This is making sythe a bad place for someone who's leaving runescape to sell their stuff, the only option is to sell to a gold shop at a very low price because with the current forum layout nobody takes any notice of you other than scammers.

 

Well in all reality why would someone other than a reseller really turn to you in their gold buying escapade. Most people buying gold on the site are either a) Resellers, or b) New members therefore turning to gold shops for their gold. So it isn't the ideal market to cash out your runescape account. When I was cashing out my eoc I had around 15b from flowers so yeah it was important to get slightly more than the gold shops were offering due to the volume but unless you're dealing with a significant amount of rsgp the resellers will not give you top dollar.

 

They'll still try and scam you no matter what section you post in...
If you don't want to get scammed just sell to a highly trusted user and not some random person who adds you on Skype.
