Slight rule change

We just merged the flaming and trolling rules into this:

Does anyone have any thoughts, concerns, hate, etc?

 

Does it apply to the spam forum?

 

I don't see this being enforced anytime soon, as it happens daily in the SF. No one seems to even care. (except for the Laptops and Elenas of Sythe)

Vague/Repetitive

 

It's understandable to implant those rules around the rest of the forum, but the spam forum is full to the brim of all those rules, broken.

 

Is this rule pertaining to all sections? Or just all besides the spam forum?

Thanks Heads wasn't aware of the new rules, least i don't remember seeing them.

 

Still don't see why trolling a moderator is punishable. I also believe people misinterpret what trolling actually is. Whatever.

"members of staff" should be replaced with "admins".

I don't see the reason to ask the community anyway. It doesn't really matter what our opinions are, aswell as the fact the result is already predetermined. Our opinions (aswel as the once active and avid spam/forum posters) have already been stated, and were disregarded as such.

I'm not a huge spam forum go-er per-say, but still, the majority of the users within the last few months that used to avidly post within in, and keep it entertaining have stopped and are either banned, inactive due to rules or just find the abrasive nature of the spam forum rules too much. I'm not trying to encourage demoralisation of other users and what not, but this is a really a pointless thread, and the discussion of this topic is moot.

That's my honest opinion, take it as you may.

2) That's the definition of harassment and it is broad on purpose

There is no change for the spam forum.

It's too annoying and time consuming to get input before we do stuff. If people bring up valid points that aren't BUT THE SPAM FORUM, we can consider them.

 

That's fine. This discussion is pointless really then. Tbh, just close this thread, and carry on as so. Not being arrogant or anything, just a realist.

 

Now you've lost your ability to complain. Instead of taking what I meant as a good faith gesture as a good faith gesture, you've just rejected it. There's no pleasing anyone around here.

 

What. I'm not even sure what you're referring to. I haven't rejected anything? You stated that acquiring input from users is too much of a hassle (and I agree to an extent), hence the outcome of such discussions are predetermined. So I'm saying why keep this open for discussion when the outcome had been decided upon? I'm not arguing, or rejecting anything. Also, I'm not trying to sound arrogant or anything, if that's how you're perceiving it.

E: You're jumping to conclusions, I don't think you understood what I meant in my previous post. Also, why are you so cynical?

 

Just because thats one definition of harassment, doesn't mean it should be incorporated. Like I said, it's too broad and will only cause confusion, misinterpretation, and abuse by both members and staff (if it were to be implemented).
