Toys and crafts from our childhood.

This may not apply to alot of people here because im sure there are plenty here who's childhood consisted of the 2000's , but i figured i would see if there are any others like myself who are a bit older

One that comes to mind is a tiny glue tube that you would squeeze out a gob of oily looking ooze -that you would then place on the end of a small red straw— then gently blow into it to inflate the glue type ooze into a oil slick looking balloon. You would the twist off the straw from the balloon and allow to dry.

I can't imagine they'd be allowed to continue selling this shit. I bet it causes birth defects in the state of California.

Figured theses would jar some memories.

Who could forget the timeless fun of this awesome money box/personal bank? Surely not me, 'twas the thing I have ever gotten!

    Information
A little spot of information about this brilliant "antiquity" (not classed as "antique" just yet, but it's a very rare find, from what I understand in modern times. I'm lucky to have such a controversial and rare piece in my possession, I believe. Can't go wrong when you're the proud owner of a Greedy Lil' [N] Boy, eh...worth a pretty penny, for something that wasn't more than $5 upon release...Anyway, yep. There's something from my youth that I still hold onto today, proudly. Even use it sometimes, to this day.

I know the controversy surrounding it, that's why I don't want to put it up at a local auction house, cause god only knows what kinda trouble it'd stir up...dunno how to go about selling it, really, or I might consider it. Time to pass it on down through generations, or at least let someone have it who will cherish it more than I have time to, really. Bleh.

Anyway....yup. Great thread, gonna be nice to see what people had as kids.

*Note: My family is not racist in the least bit. This was actually given to my mother by an African American church Usher, as a little "prank", back in the day, and they had their laughs, and the story carries on in my family (we always act like it was something bad, like racist ancestry or something, at first, family tradition, ya dig? lmao)

Of course, man. I never had all too much as a kid. I mean, I'm basically a kid now, only 20 years old, mind and heart of a motherfuckin' 16-18 year old tbh. lmfao. But shit, I really do own one of those, if you thought I wasn't serious. Dead ass serious, my guy. It's in awesome condition, too lol.

I guess another thing I *could've* listed was...like...the Gameboy Color....but that's just, not as exciting!

Got one of those, as well. Works and all, only mine's grey, not yellow.

Feels good to have kept my shit from when I was growing up, now I can always just sell it if I need to....or y'know, if I just kinda get bored having it as a collectable, just have some extra money for like...alcohol...or what's that thing responsible adults spend money on? OH RIGHT, my water bill or my rent....yeah, weird, dunno why alcohol was the first thing to be said. Hahah. I kid, I kid, I got my shit together :p

I love all these classic things from the 80's/90's. Love 'em to death, man.

This was my go to toy:

Every night I would have hour long battles between the castle and ship lol. Where did my imagination go :S

Let it be known that the green dragon was NOT part of my collection. That thing is just gaaaay

And I guess when I got older I played beyblades lol, they were so hard to get ahold of where I loved. They were extremely rare.

I remember after months of finally finding one to buy in the store (not some cheap rip off beyblade) I was so excited. I went into duel with my best friend and found out the hard way his dad modified his beyblade. His beyblade completely destroys my beyblade (mine basically shatters, the plastic literally broke). His dad modified his beyblade and put some heavy steel disc in the middle. I was like dafuq bro you serious?

Well, I never was big on drinking. I prefer other methods of getting into a "different mindset", if you feel me, haha. But I've always preferred a tall glass of Scotch, slow drinkin' and shit, so I don't see my drinking slowing, since it's already just something I do when I write music or lyrics, haha. :p

I had the exact same castle too! I was also a huge fan of beyblades. I'd actually like to get a couple again as they're getting difficult to find around here.

@ OP: I remember the straw balloon thingys. They weren't just in California.

I remember eating this type of Mexican candy called Lucas as a kid. Loved that stuff, but my mom would never buy me it so I had to bum it off of other kids. Turns out it got banned back in like 05 because apparently it contained led.
