Literally just fucked my whole summer

So Friday I decided to stay home and hang out with an attractive girl from another school on a day her school had no school. Got my license 2-3 weeks ago, we hung out all day while her parents weren't home, couldn't have asked for a better time... But I guess all good things come to an end for me, on the way taking her to her friends house, I cross an intersection and got T-boned... They had the right a-way and I had the stop, I stopped and looked both ways, twice actually, I must've completely misjudged the distance and speed at which the other car was at. I pulled through and it started beeping its horn and didnt hit the brakes at all and smashed straight into my side by my back tire, completely turned my car around (did a 180). From the brake marks it showed she was speeding about 10 over, but that doesn't help my case... I just feel like it all wasn't real, the girl and I were underage and were required to get admitted to the hospital, we had to go on stretchers and get X-rays and everything, it was just all terrible... From what people have said, I should plea no-contest, leaving the hands to the judge to decide my fate. In ohio the charge is just a minor misdemenor, but the fact all that happened so fast, it just fucking drops my mood instantly. Another thing, my parents only put me on liability insurance, everything is covered but my own fucking car. The cop cited me for failure to yield, told me the court may or may not suspend my license for 6 months... I'm gonna be working all summer long, it was my parents car and it was about $3000. My summer is so fucked.=| :'(

 

Just remember it could be worse, No one was injured badly. No one was killed. Things may not be good now, but always look at the positives with things.

 

Elena's right. Don't let materialistic things get to you. What really is important is everyone is OK and not killed. A car is a car nonetheless and you can eventually pay it off. And I wouldn't completely look down on it right now until you hear what the judge says.

 

That does indeed suck but look on the bright side. You're alive and so is your friend. Sure your parents car is wrecked but money is money you and your friend cannot be replaced. You license being suspended will suck but you currently don't have a car anyway so it's not the end of the world. You can still enjoy your summer it definitely is a bump in the road though.

 

We all make mistakes, be thankful nobody got seriously hurt. Imagine if, god forbid, she had been killed. You'd be in a whole other world of hurt. Be grateful it was just the car that was damaged, material goods can be bought back, human lives cannot. Be grateful and learn from this experience.

 

Are you still able to get to your summer job without a car? That sucks to hear especially the accident just as long as you and your friend are alright then it shouldn't matter how anything else is even though it was your parents.

Everyone makes mistakes, I've had a few bumps myself. Nobody was killed and it's only a 6 month suspension - at least you're not disqualified.

As for the working situation, perhaps your earnings should go in to repairing the car You can always take public transport to work and it'll even work out cheaper to travel that way. Take the bus, train or even get a bike.

In the grand scheme of things, you's survived and life goes on. Be happy it didn't turn out worse.

 

When you go to court let the judge know that you have a job and need your license to get to work so you can pay your parents back. The judge wants to be a nice guy, or gal, and will help you as best as they can. But there is no guarantee, maybe the laws will require that your license is suspended, just hope for the best.

 

You have more summers to come ( if u drive safer next time ), work your ass of this one, and enjoy the next ones. Drive safe
