07 RS FullScreen

For those who dont know just change your screen resolution to 800x 600
open your browser and press f11 Enjoy

 

Funny, but I don't think I can play like that. Way too used to the small window. ^_^

 

lmao i understand took me a while to get used to also i never played full screen runescape when the gfx were updated i like my life through a window view.

 

I hope really hope they develop different resolution options. Playing 800x600 on a 1920x1080 IPS hurts my eyes.

I think I'm going to try this when I get home... Find your monitor's aspect ratio, for examples, 16:9,16:10, etc. Find the lowest resolution greater than 800x600 at your monitors ratio. I think 1200x675 would be good for me @ 16:9. That leaves 75 vertical pixels for the address bar and task bar because I have 3 monitors and don't want to full screen. May need more vert pix for that though.

Basically, the game won't be stretched out horizontally if you do it this way, but you'll have black bars on the side, which I prefer.

Oh yeah, if your monitor is 4:3, you don't have to worry about this because 800:600 = 4:3 anyways.

I heard on the stream once they are trying to make a full screen version of 07, kind of like EOC but not the graphics, same graphics as now. Would be neat.

 

yea but i dont think jagex is too worried about doing things like that for 07 unfortunately

 

how do you change your screen resolution mate havnt needed to do it for years

 

right click on your desktop and click screen resolution or properties

 

I played on fixed screen even pre-eoc, RS isn't really the kind of game I like to play full-screen :|

 

07 rs is pretty low in resolution. Full screen will definitely hurt the quality of its graphics.

I'm a fixed window person for RS.

 

~8 years experience in runescape and didnt knew that... I feel terrible :S

Full screen for 07.. just doesn't work for me haha. Takes too long to get used to, and, as genesis said, the quality of the graphics probably does get hurt in full screen.

Definately hurts the GFX a little but i certainly dont play it for the gfx lmao the first thing people say when i show them oldschool is "Those Graphics suck"

 

only use botclient anyway ;p
