What to do if my skype is hacked?

I know im not exactly a well known or majorly trusted user, but I still feel I need to inform people.

My skype was hacked today, they have already tried to scam 1 person but luckily they requested a PM.

What should I do and who should I inform(if anybody)?

Just delete your skype from all your threads/posts and make sure you are clearly stating 'Do not trade with my skype'

 

He will still be held responsible for loses

you should inform a moderator and probally try recover your skype account back.

 

I dont believe he will be held accountable for any scams.... so don't know where you base that from?

 

Mods say it all the time, if your skype gets hacked and they scam someone you must return the payment to the person who was scammed *if there is proof* or you'll remain banned.

 

you can call Skype HQ and find their info

 

If there's no PM, there's no refund.
So they'd only be paying back if the Sythe was hacked also.


@OT, use the livechat Zuzel linked to terminate the account.

 

Also, make sure you change your Sythe password (obviously), to ensure he cannot access that and you won't have to be accountable for any scams or losses.

Anyways for the quotes above, I recommend doing those aswell.
