Barrows

Hey everyone,

I'm leveling up atm but I'm just curious as to what are the recommended stats are for barrows? I'm level 1 mage and range, I don't do those right now. Do those need to be up or can I purely just melee?

 

Slayer dart is pretty good for barrows. Its practically free as the runes you get as a reward are used for slayer dart itself. It also hits good with armor on. Requirements are 55 slayer and 50 magic I think.

 

Slayer dart is very practical for barrows and doesn't cost a lot for runes. If you have high attack and strength with at least 43 prayer use initiate or proselyte with prayer pots, some food, and whip/dscim.

 

I believe it's recommended to have Mage, as Mage is dharok, torag and veracs weaknesses. Are ou keeping yourself at 1 def? I seen a few pod guides on YouTube, should search and check them out.

 

I'm level 40 att def and str ATM. I'm debating on raising mage and range if needed for barrows.

 

Like I said I thinks it's best that you get Mage up, although range wouldn't be a necessity.

Barrows can be done with melee if you have 80/80/80 stats, but I'd always choose magic. Slayer dart is well worth it, but if you don't have that there is the Ice Burst method.

I started barrows with 50 mage & 53 range the other day. Used about 3 pray pots per trip. I guess that's not absolute shit.

But yeah, slayer dart is pretty great for barrows. I'd say... Raise your melee with slayer to 55. You're going to want higher melee to get your kc to 14(14 is the magic number for your kc confirmed by a jmod post.) & to kill ahrim quickly. I'm pretty sure kharil can be melee'd or maged. Range isn't absolutely needed & it's not a big deal if you don't have it.

I'm 79 str & 72 att with d scim & ticked incredible reflexes while super potted for melee'ing the brothers. You could probably do fine with...

60+ att
60+ str
50 mage & 55 slayer
40-45+ def
super str/att

rune armor, d scim, farseer helm, cb brace, obby cape, rune defender, mystic boots, glory, slayer staff, etc.

 

I wouldn't bother trying with only melee, it will take you far too long to kill the bosses, costing you a lot of prayer pots. Magic is an essential for barrows
