    Yes, you'll stay within the 45 def exp border to 46 if you train to 16-20 def.

    I'm not sure of the experience required for 16-20 defence, but if you can quest it make sure you do.

    Initiate Pure Questions
    If you train 16-20 defence by hand, it will not level you to 46 if you choose to do the zerker pure quests.

    Isn't there multiple quests you have to do? In which brings you from 1-45? Or are they only quest you can do to gain def xp? Like lunar diplomacy etc.

    Yes I went from 1 def to initiate(20) to prossy(30) to zerk(45) to Hybrid(70) def with quests no problems. You are fine.
