Edge Pking...Using Whip...1/20 Def?

I ONLY want to edge PK...not hybrid, not tribrid...ONLY edge...using melee.

I've been watching some 1 def and 20 def pk vids with whips, looks awsome.

I dont want to go past 20 def to say 40-45 because I dont want to quest...also not a fan of zerkers.

Whats more fun to PK at edge: 1 Def? or 20 def? (initiate)?

Remember I only want to use whip/dds.

If you go 20 def I'd recommend 52 prayer, since initiate gives a better prayer bonus. I'd also try to get high-risk fights, where kids have whips as well, and try to smite them out.

Personally, I'd stay pure. I don't think 20 defence will really help you when PKing at all. The reason initiate pures were hot before was because of turmoil and statius/vestas.

 

20 defence doesn't really contribute much, anywhere.. You will only be raising your combat level to VS people with lower attack and higher strength/hp.. I would stay with 1 def, I am currently on the road to 70 attack and 90 str also, currently 84 str 60 attack. What are your current levels?

 

If you're a good pker you can easily smite out whips as an initiate pure, you'll get hit less and be able to get more hits in with your whip and dds, if the guy eats a few times his prayer will most likely drop.


As a pure, you wouldn't be able to smite people as easy because they'd keep hitting you, but it's way more fun for pking and lower level.

So which ever you get depends on if you need cash or not IMO.

 

1 defense.

 

For the long term 1 defence will be better, but for the short term 20 defence with smite, purely because whips are over 3m each currently, so that's a large moneymaker.

 

80 - 99 - 20 would be sick.

 

1 Defence defiantly, those 20 combat levels will get you a fair few combat levels, but then again if you want initiate the in go for it!

 

1 def is more fun per say. However I'm pretty sure you'll get bored and find edge pking obsolete after a few weeks.

 

Another thing to consider is that you'll be raising your attack if you use whip, so you can never stay 70 attack.

 

Initiate pures are amazing now because of the possibility of fighting Zerkers/Rune pures, the fact that u can fight people risking rune items and not only D dagger is amazing, and ul get more consistant smite fights Whip vs whip if u go initiate. atleast thats what im thinking.

 

I'd stay 1 defence, it's the most fun.
