I got scammed for 3m today I fell for the 100k fire runes 4m scam put up 3m thought id get a good deal. Do you think the guy will get banned for doing it?

or do you think ill get banned for trying to do it to get my gp back?

i dont really want to be banned on my acc i spent hrs on but i spent hrs to get that 3m...

 

Neither of you will. Getting banned for scamming is extremly low chance especially the trade scam, I've never seen anyone get banned from that.

 

I´ve always wondered how people fall for that. Any normal thinking person (no offence) will know that 100k x 3 gp is 300k, not 3m..

 

Dang I feel sorry for you. I highly doubt the guy will get banned, maybe muted in the best case.

 

Aw, sorry to hear that dude. I don't think he broke any rules directly though...while it's morally wrong, I doubt he'd receive any offenses

 

No, unlike sythe, scammers in Runescape do not get banned. The report option for scamming is there so mods can ease the troubled minds of scam victims via placebo effect.

 

That is one of the greatest things I've ever read about Jagex.

 

In my opinion, you were scammed. But it doesn't make it right to go and scam someone else just to reclaim something that you lost? Especially considering, the person you will "try" to scam, isn't the one whom scammed yourself. It's morally not right, I would advise taking the loss and playing the game.

 

Take the loss and maybe read up on some anti scam threads.
