Slayer Question

What is a good combat level to begin working on slayer? I'm 20 att, 22 str, and 20 def. 25 cb level.

 

For more effective slaying, Complete Dwarf Cannon quest for the cannon.

Get 40/40/40 for Rune armour at least for quicker slaying. At your level, you will be assign lots of noob monsters that gives little slaying experience.

 

I'm looking more to train both my cb skills and slayer skill so would it be smart to start now or wait to get 40s?

 

If you want to train your combat while slaying, then start now. However, you will be training both combat and slayer at a much slower rate than if you were to get combat first then slayer.

 

I would wait until you are higher combat and can use higher slayer masters. You don't really gain an advantage from killing low level slayer monsters at low combat

 

I'm now up to 33 att and 36 str 20 def, 35 cb level. I think I've made the decision to do both slayer and cb skills at the same time. Thanks for everything guys.

 

You should do a few easy quests if you havn't
Waterfall
Grand Tree
Tree gnome village
Dragon slayer
These will boost your stats up quite a bit at low levels.

 

I've done waterfall but those other quests require me to kill a much higher leveled monster and I'm not high enough. I will be doing some quests so I can do dragon slayer to wear rune and all that good stuff.

 

I started at level 3.............. but I died quite a few times on quests. And it took me ages to get new tasks

 

Grand tree can be done at very low lvls, just run slightly into the tunnel and you can mage the demon from there (he is extremely weak to magic so even with low magic he is easy to kill).

The same goes for tree gnome village, you'll have to fight the two lvl 48 khazard commanders straight up but they shouldn't be too hard, for the warlord you can mage/range him from the trees and when he comes to attack you just run west further into the trees and he'll turn back. Keep attacking then running back and he'll be dead in no time.

Do quests that give you combat experience.
Once you finish them start doing your slayer.

 

I started working on slayer back in the day around 30/30/30, as you can deal with most tasks that the nooby slayer masters throw at you without any bother. It's when you get to higher slayer levels you want to worry about your combat stats tbh.
