NHL Playoffs

Any hockey fans on sythe? What're your predictions for the playoffs and who are you cheering for?

I've personally always been a Leaf fan and they haven't made it to the playoffs in NINE YEARS let alone won a Stanley Cup since '67 so myself and the rest of Toronto are pretty excited.

Also, would anyone be interested in taking part in a playoff box pool ?

 

I just recently started getting into hockey. I live in Houston and sadly we do not have a team, but I follow the capitals because my girlfriend is from DC.. They are tied 2-2 with the NY Rangers atm.. I am hoping they can pull through to win the cup, I am just hoping ovechkin can keep playing well usual. I am still new to the sport, so I don't know all the players names yet and I don't know who is good and things like that. But my prediction is Capitals v Blackhawks in the Cup Finals.

 

Probably will be the Caps, but they gotta escape a very game Rangers team. They own the Penguins head to head, so I'd like their chances at beating them.

 

Love hockey and I played it from about 7 or 8 years of age until I was 16. About to get back into it (19 now). I'm a huge Carolina Hurricanes fan because I live in NC, but they have sucked since they won the cup in 2006. Right now in the playoffs im rooting for the Rangers since my Minnesota Wild got eliminated, which is where I was born.

damn, anaheim and st louis are my teams. i was hoping so bad that anaheim would fuck detroit up since, yenno, detroit makes the playoffs EVERY FUCKIN YEAR and never does anything...

anyway cmon st louis lets do this.

 

2 straight cup appearances in 08 + 09 though. were a game away from back to back titles.

 

Caps lost. My gf was crushed. Losing 5-0 in game 7 is embarressing.

 

Not as crushed as those Leafs fans must have been. Up 4-2 with a minute 20 left and you give up not 1,but 2 goals while their net is empty. Then lose in OT. All in game 7. Choke of the year.

 

Yeah as a torontonian that game was sickening...one second we were celebratin and the next we were just standing there speechless. Typical leafs .

Time to jump on the bandwagon of the only Canadian team left! lol

I hate the leafs but daamn, that was harsh. almost felt bad

 

Also unfortunately sens and gunna get killed by the pens

canada has no game apparently.

 

I think the Senators will settle into the series and make it interesting. They looked a bit too intimidated tonight. They need to wake up and play their game.

I like Detroit to upset Chicago

 

I'm happy either way with the LA/Sharks game. I like both teams, the series really could go any way. I think Chicago/Pens in the end though.

 

Chicago would whoop the Pens. Pens goaltending is suspect. I still like my Detroit pick but I do realize its a big upset pick

 

chi and pens are probably the favorite for the finals. im still feeling rangers to pull some serious shit, and idk what i was thinking when i picked san jose they're going to blow it this series, I can already feel it.

 

Yeah man SJ is in some trouble..0-2 now. Don't worry about your picks man they're all in good fun . That's why I went with Detroit.
