Actually making +500 accounts not to purchase list useful

So you are saying someone with 50 vouches can do those? Because people with a high amount of vouches have a business to look after.

 

not 50 but 200 vouches would be fair amount

 

I don't know about the rest of this community but I wouldn't trust someone who has 200 vouches if I had a good account for sale. Also, how many people with 200+ vouches do u think we could get? I think like 2-3 at most, why would anyone else care about wasting their team verifying accounts on a forum?

 

I was also thinking about making a program like this that includes, runescape names, paypal emails, skype ids. Anything that is related to a scammer. The only real issue is the amount of time it would take to go through the scammer archive. When I calculated this 2 months ago I found out it would take me around 1-2 months to gather all of the names etc. If there are trusted users willing to help me gather the information I would be willing to do this project.

No support at all, when users take their time to read the sticky, use a middleman (whom already verifies the account) it will defeat the purpose of having an "account verification team" it's really just another ploy to try and get a rank to be quite honest. It wouldnt solve anything, people will abuse the tags, people will be framed, it's just not worth the hassles especially when we already have middlemen.. For a reason.

 

Only way for Middlemans for account verification is currently looking on +500 accounts not to purchase list with is fairly outdated because people do not report their accounts after they're recovered.

 

Hence why that list is useless, and having a verification team will be useless. They will be basing these verifications off of an outdated list, that would never be updated by the community because they just can't be bothered.

A middleman will verify the account when they log in - to verify, said amount of gold, stats, membership and more.. They don't just soft through that list and proclaim verification of said account? Lol...

 

I've spoke to Roary about this and there's 3-4 of us that would be willing to do it if we were deemed trusted enough, that would be enough to get it started, as if we need 10 pages a day each with 5 of us, it'd take just under a month.

Main idea of this suggestion was to avoid re-selling accounts, not addint [verified] tag just because account being sold matches the description. This suggestion is to expand +500 accounts not to purchase list to be up to date and prevent re-selling accounts.

Yes I've spoke with him too, I'm up for it , will take a while but it's going to definitely save alot of people from getting scammed, but referring my suggestion, account sellers wont provide logins to accounts to potential buyers, so for +500 accounts not to purchase it's not as helpful as verified tag. Maybe if verified tag is not good, something like verification seal like donor seals would do ?

 

I still think we should stick with this program and get it developed for rs accounts first, then we can move onto verification of accounts that haven't had a scam history and accs that are on other games than just runescape. I reckon that the 5 people we could actually get this done pretty quickly, if me and roary worked flat out we'd be doing 20+ pages a day, so that'd be a lot getting done very quickly. 2-3 weeks is all it'd take.

 

I think an awareness should be made for 'MM' to check the list of usernames on the lists and if it's found to be one of those accounts then report it as such, and also make a post on their selling thread mentioning their findings.
An entire team is going to be an extreme hassle, not only finding a suitable team, but also just an active one.
If you can't trust the 'MM' you're using for the trade, then you should be looking for another 'MM' or Seller.

Edit: Also the list would need someone who can frequently update it.

 

How about everyone selling/buying an account being required to post the username of the account in a thread when they sell/buy it? Would be hard to enforce though.

 

Any sort of official verification team for accounts is denied. As for the account recoveries sticky, the Report a Scammer section is cluttered with stickied threads enough as it is. I have added a post to the main stickies with information about how to report an account recovery.
