How To Prevent Being Scammed? PayPal

Is there any safe way to use PayPal without being scammed?

Can i accept payments and prevent chargebacks?

Even gift payments can be chargebacked....

Please let me know if there is a way around this, lost over £300 because due to PayPal chageback claims.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Follow R2Pleasent's guide to prevent stolen paypals, but another thing that people do is send money using VPNs or proxies then claim their account was hacked, or they send the money from a credit card, then tell the credit card company it was an unauthorized payment. What you can do to prevent this, is make the person screenshare while they are sending the payment. Make them to go whatsmyip.org to show their ip address. After that look up the IP and make sure it matches the general location of where they live. Also making sure the payment is balance funded, and not credit card funded is important.

To be honest with you, there is no real way to prevent chargebacks when using PayPal, My only suggestion would be to trade with users you deem trustworthy or to use an alternative payment method such as player auctions.

Have them send as a good, have them file a claim and cancel, and have them email you saying thank you for the goods.

EMAIL YOU. Then take a picture of this email and provide on any dispute

Will get your paypal limited after so many per day. If your doing a lot of trades each day that won't work.

I'm new here, and my comment doesn't help too much concerning paypal. But, a Bitcoin wallet is not difficult to setup, and it has 0% chance for chargebacks and something like a .5% - .99% transaction fees to convert Bitcoins to USD. If you want links I'll post them.

Is PayPal the only Payment method you are using?
It would much wiser if you use other methods like WU or Moneybookers to avoid those chargeback.
Chargeback is always the problem with PayPal when trading with virtual goods.

For safety prevention that I can suggest to you when using PayPal is either trade only to a trusted user or use PayPal with playerauctions.

Seeing as there is really no way of someone charging back, unless you have a very experienced PayPal manager, that's what all the websites do, and they win there disputes with tracking numbers, etc. But if you don't know what you're doing, only deal with trusted members. :) Hope this helped.
