The State Of Range Tanks

I know when the EOC was first announced it was speculated that range tanks would become completely useless. Once I heard this I walked away from the game entirely. Now I'm contemplating coming back, but I'm wondering if they're still useless? My stats are

Att: 75
Str: 71
Def: 99
Range: 99
Mage: 99
HP: 99
Summ: 99

 

I think range is the strongest combat style, but I'm not sure. I haven't played eoc ever.

 

Yeah your account would own, especially in F2P pking. You would own P2P pking if you have the right quests. As for PVM'ing you might have some difficulties with monsters that have melee weakness but the majority of the monsters you would destroy. If I were you I would return to EoC because they will soon be updating it to RS3 and adding some new quests.

Range tanks with high stats are very good at pking, especially if they have Korasi or something to attack with also, a slash weapon that can hit high and fast after a range hit. The royal crossbow or choatics would be the weapons of choice from my point of view.

 

Your account is level 200, there isn't any reason to make a 'tank' in EoC, you could train to 99 attack and strength and it won't affect your combat.
