    All Is Forgiven

"Well I said it because I think that's true, but I'm not trying to avoid anything, I just, I would have to be more; I'm not..I'm the wrong kinda person...to be really big and famous" -Elliott Smith; the line in an interview that changed my perspective completely. When he said that, something just kinda clicked in my head, ya know? I don't want to be known, I don't want to be anything more than what I am...I don't care anymore if you know my name, what I do, how I do it..I just want to be, like, however cliche this is, ME, ya know? Nothing matters more than me doing what I do, if I'm okay with me, why can't you all be okay with me, too? Like, 2:32AM, and my entire life outlook has changed, all because I'm watching Elliott Smith interviews..Like, I mean, I'm still not confident about my future or anything, and I'm still the same person, same thoughts, just more apathetic about it now, y'know? Like, listen to my story and understand me and don't judge my past, or don't listen, and do judge, I don't care anymore, and I think that's a breakthrough for me, because where I live, I'm really just known as another faceless heroin junkie and doper, but I'm no junkie, I don't live for dope, but people never really took/take the time to realize that, due to my reputation, but thanks to just listening to Elliott talk about his experience and how he dealt with it, I just kinda want to live, and not give a fuck if people understand my past, why I do what I do, etc. anymore. Really magical.

A film about Elliott Smith, the singer/songwriter. Seriously, his interviews have really changed my view on things. Like, honestly. It makes you think about your own life. How well I relate to his answers and him as a person scares me, but him and I seem to be one in the same, though he died in 2003.

I recommend watching it all the way through, you might find some help if you need it, or some joy if you don't. Or hell, you may just find you like his music. Fuck it, right?
