Like I said before I don't think Jagex knows the definition of the word 'RARE'. Someone please get them a dictionary.

Lol this isn't jagex's fault. It's the players choice we took the poll and majority didn't want them discontinued.

 

66% did want them discontinued lol. You would assume that Jagex isn't actually that retarded, but they actually are.

Well, if they're not going to be discontinued and people have voted for them to be released like the rares originally were, does that mean they will continuously spawn in said spots?

 

Fact is, it wasn't a supermajority (75%) who voted for them to be tradable, but Jagex should not have taken a step ahead and made the default for the poll to be untradable.

Which is the most absolute ridiculous thing-- Rares were DEFAULT discontinued back in 2007, which means it takes a 75% vote to CHANGE them from discontinued to continued. Jagex, having their own agenda and not giving a fuck what the outcome of the poll actually was, said '75% didn't vote to make them discontinued'

People chose a 75% majority rule in the beginning so you only have yourselves to blame. O wells, terrible that goldfarmers and idiots that would spend $500 on a pixel hat to look cool are pissed. Seriously, you all know this was about the money, not about having the items.

 

Bringing back phats and santa hats shouldn't be a problem, but they shouldn't be called rares or discontinued items if they aren't. They would just be normal items you can obtain, such as mimes clothes from random events or a robe from Alkarid.

Regardless, they're never going to do the drop method and then make them discontinued. Too many retards on here thinking they're going to suddenly be millionaires upon picking them up.

First of all, if they did bring them back via the drop method(with the same players to rares ratio as the original drops), they wouldn't be instant millionaires because they would be so prevalent. It would take a few years for people to die, quit, alch them on youtube, whatever your preference. Back in RSC i think i remember seeing a pink party hat traded for 400k or maybe it was 900k....anyways i think they should bring them back like they did in the first place, without the ge i doubt phats would rise to such a ridiculous price.

 

Well rares don't even exist in 07 scape at the moment? (As in holiday rates, not TT rares)

Honestly it doesn't seem that bad to make them non discontinued in 07 since they don't even exist at the moment. I don't see how a hat with no bonuses can affect the 07 economy at all.
Also I believe they use the term "rares" since in EOC it's rare...

 

If they aren't going to be discontinued than they should be extremely hard to get like third age.

 

It wouldn't have mattered anyway, people would be hogging them hanging on to them because they think they are going to be worth something in 3 years.
