    Navy IT

    Hey Sythe Community!

So I'm reaching out for some help - in 123 days I will be leaving my comfortable life to go to Basic Combat Training for the Navy, where I will be "molded" into a sailor. Two months of that, followed by 24 weeks in "A" School at Ft. Corey, in Pensacola, Fl.

Anyways, I have been awarded the rating IT (Information Systems Technician). My job description is as follows:
So, I'm looking to get a head start on this as I'm sure some of the people I'm going to be learning with already have some sort of knowledge in this field. I am completely uneducated and blind to this - being an IT is completely new to me. What type of programming should I try to learn this summer to get my foot in the door? I have exactly four months to boot camp this Saturday.

    Any and all advice/tips helps!

Do you know what language you will have to write these programs in?

I have no clue o_O . I figured it'd be a similar job to a private sector IT, just with a little more muscle.
