What defines a slow driver?

I'm the type that drives anywhere from 60-70 on HWY and 35-40 on street and sometimes 45-60 if required. Now a lot of people really hate slow drivers so what is your definition of a slow driver?


Do we call people slow drivers because they're driving under the speed limit (40mph in city, 65mph in hwy) or someone who doesn't floor it when they are waiting at a stop light for it to turn green.

When I'm at stoplight, it would take me for a while to reach the speed limit of 40mph. This is because I keep my RPM at 2000-25000 RPM vs someone who pushes the gas pedal all the way down also known. Would I still be called a slow driver?

The reason I'm asking because sometimes if I'm at stop light, people would change lanes before I even hit 40mph the speed limit in city because people behind me rather just floor it but at the end, I always end up passing by them.

 

People who go under the speed limit are slow drivers to me...

People who come level in the left lane with whoever they're "passing", and travel the next 10 miles nose to nose with the other car, and they're both going at or near the speed limit: I call them ass hole drivers.

People who take 10 years to execute a turn, say if they literally slow down to 5 miles per hour to turn off the main roads are fucking retarded drivers.

People who travel (at the speed limit) in the fast lane on highways like they're in the city are annoying drivers, but so long as I can get around them, whatever.

I don't see whats wrong with that. If you rear end them, thats your fault.

 

To an insurance company yes, but the person who actually causes the wreck is the one dragging ass.

You don't see what's wrong with people coming to an almost complete stop and taking 10 years to execute a turn? I... don't have anything to say to that, I figured it was self explanatory why it's indicative of a shitty driver (an annoying driver at the very least). I didn't say I would blame them if I rear ended them, I'm not an idiot, my eyes are actually open when I'm driving, unlike so many other drivers it seems. It just pisses me off when I have to come to a complete stop in the middle of traffic to wait for one person to turn off the goddamn road at 2 miles per hour.

 

Unless you're going 5 mph over the "limit", you're driving slow.

 

People who drive too safely, but safety first ofcourse!

 

We have 30 in towns etc, 60 on out of town roads and 70 on motorways/dual carriageways.

Double speed or over 100 = license lost.

For me (if there's no slow twat infront)
Towns = 50
Out of town = 80
Motorways/DC = 90+

If you watch out, pay attention and don't get caught you're fine.

 

I don't agree with speeding in any residential area. 30mph here, but a child could step out so easy so i prefer to stay within the limit.

As for slow drivers, people that slow right down taking a corner, practically have to go into first gear for a corner.
People that pull out then take for ever to accelerate.
People that're to cautios also piss me off.

 

Slowing down for corners (to like 5mph) and taking forever to turn.
anyone driving under the speed limit when they know they have cars behind them.
Anyone in the left lane that isn't going faster then the people in the right lane.
People who triple check left to right at a green light to make sure no one is coming, then by the time they get going the light is already yellow.

 

If you are going even like 2mph under the speed limit I think you're a slow driver.

 

Everything for me is kmph but generally anyone going below the speed limit annoy me.

 

To me, a slow driver is someone who is driving slower than i am.. I'm an impatient person and like getting to where i have to go quickly. Also hate the people who take turns at 5 MPH. Makes me think they're just trying to get a free back bumper!!

 

I have a sports car (350z) so it is very tempting for me to drive fast, and i do.

45mph speed limit to me is really 55ish mph.

on the highway a 70mph speed limit to me is actually 80-110 depending on the circumstance.

 

People getting out accelerated by an 18 wheeler.

 

A slow driver is one that basically gets in peoples way and not move along or change lanes for you.

I wish most drivers were at least semi-considerate but many are not.
