Donations

It seems that making a donation is far harder than it needs to be. There are seemingly 5-10 people taking donations, yet after about a week of trying to contact all of them, I still have not been able to donate. Something needs to change. Either more bonds need to be introduced so donations are handled quicker, or the current guys need to become more active. Just looking at all their threads, there's probably another 20-30 people that haven't received replies all willing to donate at LEAST $5, most commonly $10-$25. That is a LOT of money that Sythe NEEDS.

Please consider adding more bond-persons, or changing the procedure to be much more efficient. What do you guys think?

Your prices are ridiculous, you expect us to pay 1/5th overprice and you only accept one method which I don't have anyways. If I wanted to donate $25, I'd have to spend $32 to buy the gold to pay you, when I could just send $30 to someone else and have donated $30 instead. Sorry, I'm not using you.

 

Then that is your issue do not complain people aren't online if you don't want to deal with the prices, we are allowed to set them at what we see fit and EoC is in the tank.

 

Please don't tell me what I can or can't do. Now if you're done spamming, please go back to over charging fools that will fall for it. Meanwhile, I'm looking to benefit the SITE and get donations through speedier, because not everyone is willing to over pay, especially when they're the ones offering good-will in the first place.

I'm not sorry that I don't want to pay $7 to donate $25... I get nothing out of this, why should you profit off my goodwill? You won't. Please stop spamming my thread if you have nothing to discuss other than pushing your personal agendas, some of us are here for the good of the community.

 

Oh please, I do nothing but think of the community, do you know how the resale is? Horrible, it's almost impossible to move EoC right now. No one is buying it. I do nothing but think of the community which is why i became a bond holder because I am active everyday so before you start mouthing off with allegations please know the facts.

Donations, are like what I have 400.00. Basically they are what people offer to sythe in order to help it keep going and it's our way of giving back to the community.

 

That means nothing to me because if you look at it from the donator's perspective, we're doing something out of good will, and you're trying to rip us off while we do so. That's putting YOURSELF ahead of the community, no matter what you SAY you're doing. You became a bond holder to profit, and if that's not working for you and it's so hard to re-sell, maybe you should reconsider, rather than having the good guys overpay.

I didn't make any accusations, you came in here acting like I made a mistake not using you, when in fact it would be a mistake using you as I would be wasting money that no one benefits from other than yourself.

This isn't about you, stop trying to make it about you and please move on. Let's not forget you said you would only accept 07 GP at $2/m, when ANYONE can sell it for $5/m without wasting any more than 5 minutes of their time. So don't act like you're not in it for the money, and just leave it where it is because your argument is futile.

On the other note, donations are used to help run the site and pay server costs, which are soaring with the increasing user base and prices. The site can use all the help they can get, that is why the donation system needs to be reworked or more bond holders need to be added.

 

What method are you trying to donate with, it's easy once you donated 5 USD because after that you can just donate direct to Sythe with PayPal or a CC.

 

Don't sit here and complain there are no bond holders to use then if that isn't the case. I actually didn't become a bond holder to profit but I am not going to set myself up to lose money ether. No one would. You are now turning this into about me when it isn't if your all about "donating" then you shouldn't care. you complain you don't want to lose money so therefore I should? Great logic.

 

I can donate cash (via interac), PlayerAuctions, PA, 07GP. I can also donate EOC if the rates are right. I don't care what method it is, I just don't want to pay $30-$35 and have the site only receive $25 because the middleman is in it for himself, simple as that.

Like I said, if you weren't in it for money, you would easily accept 07GP at the rate it sells for INSTANTLY. Instead, you choose to offer LESS THAN HALF. If that's not FOR PROFIT, what is it?

Why SHOULDN'T I care? If I'm paying $35, that $35 should go to Sythe, not $10 to some middle man because they think they deserve it. Sorry, I'm not using you no matter what you say, so can you please stop trying to hi-jack this thread?

Elena this isn't about you so if you're not going to contribute to the topic please leave. The discussion is about updating the donation system or adding more bond holders, not about whether Elena is a good bond holder or not.

 

I Agree tho, Sythe needs more ACTIVE, reasonable bond holders
