League of Legends is free. So free.

When I first started playing, I figured I'd buy $20 in RP to get a couple of skins I liked. I wasn't going to pay them any more, obviously. Full-price games run $60 these days, so maybe I can buy another $35...oh but that's all I'm going to buy.

If you, by coincidence, also happen to have a massive ego issue, the easiest way to pitybrag about all the money you've spent on skins is via the Elophant client. It does require you to login to League while it's running to collect the data, so it might be sketchy for the paranoid, but the site is owned by Mobafire, so I doubt there's anything bad. At the very least I haven't been haxed and I used it a few days ago.

You might not fall for skins but the plethora of champions, most of which you need to purchase if you want to be competitive, go on sale just as often. "Buy meeeeeee" says the 487 Jayce...

Okay, you've made me feel slightly better. I've spent roughly that amount in 2.5 years; if you keep going, by the time you're as much a veteran as I am now, you'll have spent over $1,500 on League of Legends! Just a bit more and you could've purchased a manufactured HOUSE with all that money. Keep on trucking!

I read somewhere that it costs like 2.2k or somewhere in that range to literally 'purchase' league, with all the skins, champions, runes, etc.

 

That amount goes up by at least $20 every champion release.

 

I've spent $150 probably in total on RP, and $50 on services like referrals.
I've made ~$200 profit in the end though

 

I've been perm banned on 3. I'm on my 4th lawl. But, most if not all of that $2000 was money made from RS staking when I returned briefly in 2011 for like 2 weeks.

 

How do you even manage to get THREE bans on League?

 

I was prob temped like 4 times for like 48 hrs - 2 weeks on each of those 3 accounts, prior to perms. Then on my first perm ban on my first account (around 1.5 years ago now ~), I managed to get it overturned by doing the level 20 challenge (which was around back then - removed now); sadly, I was banned on that same account 1 month later with no chance of redemption lol.

I used to rage hard at trolls and bad players lol - only in ranked, I rarely, if ever play normals. It annoyed me that the Riot community took verbal abuse more serious that toxic community trolls, afkers non communicative players etc.

Anyway, so I was banned for abuse to those players - which in my mind they deserved fully for intentionally trolling/feeding and what not.

 

Sounds like you really have to fuck things up to get banned not once, but several times. Goddamn.

I think Riot's trying to address the issue of dota games having such a terrible community and cracking down harder than others would.

 

when i started playing LoL i maybe bought one skin after about 3 months and then now its been a couple of years playing LoL I've probably spent almost $600 on rp....

 

I end up spending about £20 a month on it, for the past 6 months; so £120 or so.

 

i have spent a total of $1270 AUD on skins, and champs on my main,
do i regret it..... yes and no
i turned a free game for me into the most expensive game i have and eva will play.

More on topic: I've spent about 0.1% as much on LOL as I have on Runescape. I have also spent about 0.01% as much on LOL as I made from Runescape, so I'm not worried.
