mud staff?

right now im 1 mage and i was wondering if it was worth it to buy this for when i get up to 30 mage or if its better just to buy the runes themself.

 

if you're willing to invest 7m in it.

Otherwise I'd say no.

I haven't used it once and I'm 90 mage.

I've been alching / enchanting and it hasn't even cost me 7m to get this far

 

I'd wait until you're 80 magic so you can stun.

 

Idk what you alch but with these prices people are shooting out from their bum it's costing me about 3.8m per 1m exp. 94 is costing me roughly 28m, so far just hitting 90, gonna be stabbed and bled for another 15m give or take.

im going for 70 mage ill profit like 100k getting there not much but eh better than losing 100k

 

I Only alched 2 levels then from 57-87 I enchanted. Cosmics at the time were 50-60 gp ea. cost me almost nothing to get to 87

Enchanting is much cheaper than alching.

Either way with all the new nature rune botters out the nat prices will fall back down to about 250 ea within the next few days / week

 

If you plan on botting using sometype of curser i would recommend it, ive been using a curser since 19 mage and am currently 83 mage. Its very cheap seeing as you only need around 360k body runes for 19-99 mage.

The staff is so costly right now I'd avoid it. I actually started training magic tonight myself using the same curse method. Currently 38 I believe, using the basic shop-staff of Earth with my calculated amount of waters and bodies for 55. Looking forward to high alching and high level magic utility, hang in there and avoid the cost in my opinion, the staff isn't worth at all what you save and could drop any time, it likely will given how over-priced it is currently.

 

Can you even wield it at 1 magic? Anyway, the rune cost is negligible at low levels compared to how much the staff costs

 

The money you would potentially loose buying/seeling the staff much more outweigh the cost of the runes for 30 mage. It's literally only a few k for 30 mage, so just use the runes.

 

I'd just use the runes for 30 mage, and then from there I'd use the staff when you're casting stun. You'll save a fair bit of dollar, the only major loss that you can take is if the staff drops a lot in price, but you could also profit a lot if it rises.
