Where do you see sythe?

I don't think that the market should be changed or removed, if it was removed a lot less donations would come in from the members resulting on the forum being closed eventually. Also these websites that advertise here wouldn't be as interested either imo.

 

The black market should stay. We should just move in addition towards a gaming community standpoint.

Yes, but all the time, for many different games. And those events would be held by the leaders in those respective games or genres.

I also think that sythe should have its own currency. Purchasable through RSGP or pp etc and is used for tournaments, raffles, etc with sythe getting a small chunk of each transaction.

 

Sythe has a long future with more games getting popular, if we could expand Xbox discussion etc then a related market could grow a lot more than it already has. Tbh with the release of rs3 also, it can go well. If we expand to other markets and other online games mainly we will survive. Most of the best selling games on player auctions would be a good place to start, even though we cover quite a few.

 

I was thinking about this to myself yesterday actually, before even seeing this thread.. I definately don't see sythe dying anytime soon. It can easily expand onto other things.

 

It CAN. but expanding is a relative term. All we are right now if runescaoe fails is a discussion forum, and that would possibly stay alive, but never expand onward past that. The goal is to keep moving forward, not to just putter along enough to stay alive.

 

I think we should expand like you said into different games, not just base it on Runescape, but it's still kind of hard since other games also have sites based off that 1 game.

 

That's why we need to provide incentive. Basically, the token idea.

been out of the market for awhile, but the community from what i've seen going on my third year, the community side is dieing off.

 

It truly is. Some are getting banned, others just leaving. It's really upsetting.

 

Sythe is the same it has been since i joined 6 years ago, to me that is.

I have ever since only been active in the black market forum and that hasn't changed a bit IMO.

One of the pros is that sythe isn't down every other day.

Even if i haven't been active like you, posting about 2-3 times a day, it doesn't mean you can just act like my opinion doesn't count.

 

I don't think blade was saying that he was just saying that he doesn't see you participating regularly in discussions so you may not be aware of everything that he is talking about. Or you might be.

 

I wasn't trying to be rude! And you're exactly right. You're active on te market, which of course is about the same. It's the community that's declining. As users stop playing rs, they aren't sticking around because we don't have accommodations well enough in other areas. There are no incentives. Users that are in sythe for rs are here because we have the "hook ups." We need to find a way to get our niche in other games, and I think the tokens are the key.

IMO it should be fine, IF runescape 3 suddenly becomes a huge succes it might get real active in here.

 

I just think we're putting too much on an unlikely "if." We should be more proactive.

 

Let's say runescape 3 is a success We should still open up to other games as well, if that's what we decide. Then not only do we have a runescape "community" We can bring in a community for each game we try and expand on.

 

If runescape is still up and has a player base sythe will be up, we need to really get people from other games tho :L stead of only depending on runescape
