Recent Bronze V Game

So I've just had a game & I'm in Bronze V. I'm going to state my mistakes & my teams mistakes.

I noticed the 1st negative action in Champion Selection, the last pick said "Top or troll" right off the starting point.

Anyway he soon changed to ADC as I said I'd prefer to take top.
He started saying how he's a pro Draven and so on.

I took Zed top, and I was against Elise it was going ok at first, but she grew stronger a lot quicker than I did I ended up giving away 2nd blood, & then she snowballed from there and took another 2 kills for 1 death.
I was warding as frequently as I could & holding my lane back, I bought vision wards to set up ganks for our Jungler, he didn't react to this & camped bot. I poked a lot with my Q, W & E and slowly pushed back, but I was ganked & I ended up losing the lane.

Bot lane lost their lane really quickly, probably after 5 minutes or so. Roughly mid game & asked people to start chipping in and warding along side the support.
Diana replied "I don't have to ward i'm carrying the game" and then Draven said "I'm not warding as i need items" This infuriated me.

The Jungler wasn't communicating with any of us and our supports warding slowed down dramatically whiles I kept buying 3 wards each time back.
I ended up with nearly 250 farm towards the end 2 kills to 5 deaths.

Okay, I got outplayed top & I'll admit that, I did the best I could to pull my team together.

What annoyed me the most about this is that I was considered the noob.

 

If bot was lost in under 5 minutes than the jungler didnt really have time to camp bot, as he takes blue and/or red and then is at 3 minutes or so in which 2 minutes in a lane isnt really camping it. You sound like you kept buying tons of wards when a sightstone or the better version sounds much cheaper as 3 wards ever time and at 5 deaths not including the times you recalled leaving 15 wards which costs 1175 gold, which would have given you wards and hp for practically the same price.

Not knowing the other members scores doesnt help as assists, kills, deaths, it all plays a big factor.

You were probably called bad because of the death to elise so early which let her out level and out dammage your team.

From runes and masteries alone i can hit +40 ap, which with an extra 40-80 really screws things up, but it depends on your teams scores too.

Im bronze myself and what i do is check up every player and their lolking.net stats for the role they are going. If they're lik 1/10/2 averages after 5-10 games i dodge. also, if they have 10 losses and 0 wins but a k/d of something like 15/1/3, it seems like that person ks's alot and because if the fed champ gets killed then the enemy practically wins.

Anyways, basically check their stats on lolking.net and if they troll pick then dodge or prepare for a loss.

 

You should let me play for you some time. I've always wanted to play at Bronze V. (Well.. I was actually 750 elo this time last year )
But really, it's great that you have a good attitude and try to pull the team together. Try to do that vocally in all your games, it helps A LOT.

 

Only noobs call other people noobs. They are the people who only look at damage output as the criterion for skill. As one who mains support and tanky junglers like Nautilus, I get called a noob a lot when people look up my lolking averages, like 3.4 kills and 5.6 deaths.

True skill comes in terms of map control, team awareness, performing your role (which means try NOT to kill unless you are the apc or adc), and taking objectives. One of my biggest pet peeves are people who instalock "support" champs like Nidalee or Teemo, then buy damage items and take cs/kills from the carry. A kill lane might look good early, but the spread-out kills and lack of support items (locket, randuins, bulwark, etc) really bites your team midgame.

Also, I get called a noob for my support buildpath in lane, where I spend like 75% of my gold on wards or a sightstone. My ward coverage is always so good that my lane usually does pretty well in terms of keeping jungle support in our favor, but the lol community just doesn't seem to recognize this as something I did on purpose.

 

I think you need to work on not letting elise get the better of you, try to farm more passively but not to the point where you will have trouble last hitting. I know that elise has a strong poke but it has relatively short range! Zed has enough AOE and power to last hit easily under turret, especially with his passive. As for your team, you might have to carry yourself out of bronze V try playing very strong tops or mids that can snowball so you can carry! Riven, Voli, Wukong, Syndra are good examples. You can also use TF Mid, which is a personal favorite of mine because you can use him to gank bot w/ ulti and hopefully sort out that bot losing situation.

 

I ended up buying total about 8 wards; due to them pushing upto our base, I was unable to get out and ward.
