SVU Like Rank for account sales

Everyone knows that most of the time runescape account sales end with the person buying the account getting scammed. I am suggesting that to be able to sell an account you need an SVU rank or something like it. If people were afraid of getting in trouble with the authorities it will decrease the account recoveries.
It would also decrease the amount of people selling accounts, because currently there are way more people selling accounts than buying (especially eoc). This would only work if you weren't required to donate $25 to be eligible for SVU. Also if this isn't possible, maybe some sort of sub-forum for "Verified" account sales.

 

No support only for the reason I don't think there is a way to prove it someone is going to recover the account after they sell it.

And this doesn't make much sense to me. Anyone can recover a RS account at any time. No sort of rank will change that. It's quite obvious to tell someone who is going to scam. Honestly, just don't buy RS accounts... but that's why many members come here and yes some select few are legit.

The main problem with your suggestion is that we'll drive away the last bit of unique users we have, because they can't sell their accounts. Most of the site's ad revenue comes from 10 year olds trying to one-up each other in the market sections with under 500 posts and a join date within a year, and most end up banned. Our job is just to prevent them from scamming or being scammed while they're here.

 

Yes SVU is 5.00 once you are a 25.00 donor.

 

Fc, I really understand where you're coming from. Unfortunately, limits such as these have been discussed over and over again throughout the past few years. It's just not going to happen due to the fact that we are an open market (and we'd like to keep it that way).
