    Ok gaming laptop?

Now I don't mean super high graphics games or anything.

Do you think the laptop I'm going to buy would run WoW while botting rs without lag?

    http://www.tesco.com/direct/acer-as...ram-750gb-windows-8-black-laptop/105-2908.prd

I know building my own shit would be cheaper, but I don't have the computer knowledge or the time. I just want to know if that would run WoW with RS botting in the background. (with Sythe/Google in the background too)

    Ok gaming laptop?

This laptop is a budget laptop, its meant for general web browsing and such. It has integrated graphics so its going to struggle even if its running RS.

You would honestly be better off with a desktop, they have better airflow, break less often, easier to repair, easier to upgrade and are just overall easier to use. Desktops are meant for gaming. If you go for a laptop for gaming you're gonna have to be prepared to spend quite a few hundred if you want WoW running while running RS bot(s).

Building a desktop if you have room is the only decision, really.
Being in the military I had to have a laptop, and mine was $1500 so I could game, so you need to know what you want.

You can't laptop game on a budget. To play WoW on minimal and run a bot, you'll need to throw down at least a grand. To do the same on a desktop? $300 easy.

It's not hard to build one, it's really not.

As said the integrated graphics card will struggle. I can run 1 bot on my laptop which has a integrated graphics card. I mean you will need a fairly decent graphics card to even consider running WoW. I did a quick bit of digging for a relatively cheap laptop that *might be able to run it, after having a quick look at the specs needed for it.

I do believe it would just be able to run it, but anyone please correct me if you think differently.

WoW specs for anyone else interested:

With laptops, you don't want to go "just good enough" for the game you're looking at. You want to go beyond, because it can't cool as easily, it becomes stuck up once you start running the needed programs. We all know a brand new computer is a gaming goddess, but she'll soon put on those pounds after the honeymoon. And while you can make her take a gym trip every once in awhile, she won't quit the drinking and won't ever get back into shape like she was in college, and you'll see that shiny new computer on the shelf (her name's Brenna) and you'll want her because she's the same price you got yours at, and she's twice as fast and you know she'll let you game hard all night basically if you want a good computer you need to put your money into it.

Well... I'm not getting a desktop. I know they're better. But I have no room for one and I can't take a desktop to work etc.

I've been trying to get a new laptop for months, but as soon as my pay comes in, it's used mainly for bills/car/food/girlfriend/friends etc..
I managed to save double what I plan on spending now, but my car needed fixing so that went down the drain..
I just need/want a decent laptop as soon as possible.

    Ok gaming laptop?

Unfortunately, as said before, the HD4000 integrated graphics will struggle with wow AND rs at the same time. It will run either one just fine with playable framerates(pretty high settings with RS, low-med settings with wow) but its gonna struggle with them both running alongside each other.

The laptop mentioned earlier only has a GT 610m...you may as well just stick with the integrated graphics...the 610m is not going to impress.

the price you are looking at paying for that acer works out to about 610 USD.
for about $90USD more you can get an MSI cx-61 with an I5 CPU, GT-645 gpu, 750GB hdd and 6GB of ram. The GT 645M will do everything you want fluidly on high/max settings(being as how it has a 1366x768 screen)
If you use an external monitor with the laptop at 1080p resolutions, you'll have to bring the settings down a bit, but it will still do what you want it to do which is bot and play WOW....While also giving you nice visuals.

Look around at Xoticpc.com...they do ship internationally.

If I had a $800 budget what would you recommend on Xoticpc.com? (I haven't checked if they do actually ship to England yet.

Well... I'm getting the one for Tesco, I know a girl that works there and she's buying it for me to use her 10% staff discount.
I shall have my new laptop Sunday evening :)

That's still pretty low spec mate. That's going to struggle with RS never mind WoW. You're probably going to have to run RS on super low settings.

Personally I would stick with what you have now and save up for a much better laptop. I know you had problems saving up last time but if you try again I'm sure you'll manage it.

Is it only the graphics card that is the problem?

The CPU seems a little weak being an i3 and the graphics card is waaaay to weak.

    Ok gaming laptop?

The CPU is pretty low spec (I'd go for an i5 at least) and the graphics are intergrated so it wasn't made for running games at all. Plus we're talking about a laptop so its either impossible or extremely difficult to upgrade compared to a desktop. You might get off with RS on lowest graphics possible. But if you actually want to play games at a decent standard then look at dedicated GPUs. Nvidia are a good brand.

Can you see any on the Tesco site that you'd recommend?
Or just any you'd recommend around the £400-£600 price range that is available in the UK?

    Ok gaming laptop?

So... I got a laptop with worse specs.
However there was a key missing (the semi colon key) so it was reduced from £400 to £150 but I have a wireless keyboard and mouse so they key missing doesn't bother me.

It was worth it for the price :p
I just won't play WoW and RS at the same time..

    CLOSED!! :D
