Defenders

Is it just me or has the drop rate of defenders been nerfed to hell? I'm down 500 tokens since my last defender drop with pretty good combat stats (80+) and I'm even using pots..

I don't remember it being this bad back in 07

 

I went through thousands of tokens my first time around, back when Defenders first came out.

A strategy that someone told me, which I do not know if is true or not (but seems to actually work for me), is to move around the room making sure every cyclops is killed in cycle before repeating any spawns.

The logic in this, as it was told to me, is that "there is always a defender in the room, you just have to find the cyclops that has it".

As I said, this may not ring true, but it has worked for me and saved me a lot of time.

 

Thats not necessarily true, you can kill the same 2-3 cyclopses and get defenders without killing the others. It's probably just wishful thinking for someone who is slaving away at getting them unsuccessfully.

 

I might give that a shot when I go back in for another round. I usually stay near the door because there's a 4 spawn and there's always one on my screen. This has proven vastly unsuccessful though

 

500 tokens seem average tbh, try another 1k tokens u should hopefully have it.

 

It's taking me on average 350 tokens to get one rune defender (with already having a rune defender).

Whether or not this is good or bad is beyond me, I just train combat there because it kills two birds in one stone.

 

Seems it, hopefully they increase it, even if by a minor amount.

 

Sorry there was a bit of ambiguity in my original post.. This was from no defender -> bronze. I've used about 1800 so far and I'm only at Mith.

 

I used 1700 from bronze -> rune.

People I know have used 3k -> mith.

Make sure you leave the room and re-enter every time you get a drop.

 

I always found it gets easier the more defenders you get, like imo addy to rune seems easier to get than bronze to iron. And once you get multiple rune it seems like you get them faster.

 

Took me 1.5k tokens just to get bronze Just keep going, they're pretty afkable just be patient.

 

It took me a total of 1.5k token. Its all about luck mate.

 

They're good exp so its not a waste if it is taking a while getting them.

 

i personally think its all just luck, you need to be there at the right time
