Ability to change your own thread title

A lot of people have businesses and start out with weak titles and then once they get really trusted they have to contact a mod for thread title change. I just think it'd be a lot less stress for everyone to be able to change your own thread title. What do you guys think?

 

That is a mod privilege only no support from me Just click the report button and tell them what you want them to change it to. it's not a big deal.

 

Mod powers, never gonna happen I'm afraid.

 

It would be a hell of a lot easier, but there must be a reason why they don't allow it and all you have to do is report it to a moderator so it's fine as it is. No sapport.

 

Yeah I agree it would be a lot easier and I understand it's mod powers i just think it be easier and more convenient for everyone to have it not be a mod power

 

It is maybe but I am pretty sure that there is a reason why we aren't able to probably potential abuse somewhere.

I would be all for it and support it, but I just didn't support because I knew it wouldn't get supported.

 

It's to stop people from covering up scams.

 

I'm almost positive you can't give select mod powers to a usergroup, if editing thread titles was allowed so would stickies, deleting, locking etc.

Could be wrong.

 

fendle- i understand it wasn't so much as a suggestion it was more of a community feedback question i guess you could say

Rwm- You could make the changing a non mod power. But yeah that would then enable stickies because that comes along with changing of thread titles so that makes sense now

 

This has been denied time and time again, and now it's being denied again.
