Will 07 end up being like EOC?

People are mostly playing it for the nostalgia, it'll die down dramatically within 2 years.

 

From a fair bit of the player base seeming to have absolutely no knowledge about how to do...anything, I'd assume there's also new players.

Also, for the people that have come back, among them is the hardcore audience. Clans like DI, 'The', etc. that have come back with the release of OSRS bring back the biggest PK'ing neckbeards this game has ever seen...a lot of them quit RS after all the ridiculous changes to the game, but still stuck around those clan boards for the years that followed (dedication, amirite?) and now they are back to enjoy what they always enjoyed.

 

I think the game will definitely see through it's popularity through the next year or so.
The game is mainly based on nostalgia and to be honest it does get boring after a while.

I'm still playing as to when I can, being 20 now with a mortgage to pay and work to attend I don't have the time to keep up with all the kiddies playing

 

If jagex doesn't take care of bots... maybe.

Not at all. Looks pretty stable atm and in a couple of months the community will only get better.

 

I think it will end up like EoC but not in the near future, will be some time.

 

The whole point was to bring back the original combat system and feel of 2007. So, if they start to make updates that bring the game on par with EoC, the point is entirely undermined. I think we will continue to have a large player base on 2007 servers as Runescape enthusiasts make the transistion over. This also leaves open the possibilty of Runescape veterans returning to the game after having quit EoC. I don't think Jagex would make the mistake of tarnishing the appeal of the 2007 servers.

I'm personally having a great time on the old servers. This is the longest Jagex has kept my attention since the implementation of EoC.

Just wish I didn't have to pay for membership on EoC (which I won't touch again.)

Popularity: Will still have a lot of players for a while.
Prices: Yes, will drop like EOC, but not as bad.
Gameplay: I believe it will end up just like right before the EOC update, except maybe without the Graphical Changes.
