Everyone vote for it to come back like before, randomly dropped everywhere

 

I voted for them to be sold in a shop for a very high amount of gold. I think this will be the best method because if this was real 07 RS the rich would already be the ones with the holiday rares.

 

Everyone can buy one in shop, so its not rare... If they will be dropped randomly then it will be rare. Think with head?

 

If they aren't actually discontinued they won't actually be "rares". They need to be actually uncommon and discontinued, or they are just a fail

 

I voted for them to be sold in shop. Just to take some gold out of the game that has already been farmed. Then discontinue them after a weekend/week of being sold in shops. Also the price of the rares would have to be pretty high so only a few players could buy them.

 

RARES FOR EVERYBODY!!! Rares are what ruined the game, brought in all the bots so they could get the money to buy one then it just continued on and on and on.

and? the point is that they became rare over time. when rares first were dropped back in rsc they were junk. ppl would sell them to the shops

 

I really think they don't belong whatsoever. The game isn't broken as it is and is quite enjoyable. I want to keep goldfarmers out of the game.

 

How were the rares released in the original RuneScape? I would say it would be best to be sold in a shop.

 

All of you fucking botters would make them being dropped on the ground a bad idea.

 

No doubt, if there going to release "a small amount" like you guys are asking for, what happens when they decide to release these rares next to populated areas? a.k.a some botting spots? then no one will pick it up. There will be even less then you guys are hoping for and some players will become ultra wealthy.

Sell them in shops for a high amount of gold for one weekend at random, so people cant simply cant buy gold to get one ahead of time. simple, then after the 48 hours pass discontinue them from shops.

 

your logic is flawed, most botters are gold farmers to make real money and a good portion don't even actually play the game.
Also if this was the case why were their bots created for 07scape, jagex said earlier they didn't plan on implimenting the rares into the game yet within no time at all [ a day or 2] scripts\clients were being made.
Last but not least here is several other games that as far as I know don't have rares but are clustered with bots.

Diablo 2 [easily 10 times worse than runescape has ever been for botting and there is absolutely nothing that is no longer attainable. unless you play NL]

these are some of the more notorious botting games I know of off the top of my head but nearly if not every game has a bot of some kind. Honestly people just cry about rares because they can't afford them they do nothing bad to the game and in years time will actually benefit the high end players to have things to work for after they max out and or get a max cash stack especially stakers.

 

Now lets take a little bit of a look at this...

Dropping them in random spots, would automatically set up bots. As in the coding there are going to be exact spots of dropping.

Selling them in a store, people with Mass amounts of gold will be able to get them, and people that can't would not be able to. Which would not make them available to everyone...

Getting them from monster drops, or EXTREMELY RARE Treasure Trail Rewards, would not make them available to all types of accounts. Put Skillers into consideration.

In my opinion, the MOST fair options would be...

- Give one to each 07 Runescape Player.
- Getting them from a reward from Skilling.
- Seasonal Events



Now considering most of you have already voted... This will do nothing, and considering Jagex PROBABLY does not read this forum so there was no affect in posting this.

Absolutely not. But it seems because this poll is focused on how these rares will be introduced into the game Jagex has already decided they will indeed be brought back into OSR.

That sure was a short-lived run. I suppose when rares are dumped in-game I'll be going back to EoC.

I think that rares are quite a large part of both the community and GP economy.

With all other items slowly going down day by day (more upon more and brought into the game) and minimal content being released for newer items - the economy will deteriorate a lot quicker than the previous servers.

Rares are the one of the few things that stakers, merchanters, etc. strive to get to for themselves. They are wear-able by all combat levels, making them so valuable.
