The mute I don't think is for spotting a jmod. A mule of mine received 5 infractions just like this, perma muted too. It's completely stupid since I never speak on that account, only thing I do is login and trade gold, nothing else.

I think they just fucked up and perm muted tons of accounts by accident. Fucking morons.

What you are saying doesn't make any sense.

Many of the Jagex staff members publicly acknowledge they have personal accounts on RS. On those accounts, do you think they would tell anyone who they are at Jagex? No, they wouldn't.

So I don't see what kind of 'impersonation' problems you're talking about. Someone playing on a normal account, not making you aware of who they are or what their intensions are, would go unnoticed and unthought of.

Do you use a VPN? Lots of reports lately of people being perm muted simply because they play on a VPN.

They are going to ruin there game if they keep handing out mutes and bans like theyre fucking candy, but what do they know about running a game they arent the founders just another bought out company who cares about money shame really.

I appealed the mute - It wouldn't let me view the evidence and since the offense was "website advertising", and that the only website I ever talk about in-game is zybez, I did some digging. In my appeal, I plead that I knew there were jagex authorized fansites, and I was certain Zybez was one of them. However, after doing some research, jagex never affiliated with zybez because zybez's adverts aren't directly controlled by them. As a result, other MMO's and even sometimes RWT ads are posted on their website. I basically said that after doing some research that I found that I was wrong, quit using their website, but quit using it too late.
Appeal accepted, I'm no longer perm muted.
