Quitting Runescape/Runescape 2007/ Runescape servers forever - advice?

Hey guys,

I've decided that, after almost 6 years of playing on and off (mainly on), that it's time to quit runescape for good.

I began playing runescape in September 2007, i quit briefly in 2008 for about 6 months, and i began playing again at the beginning of 2009. I personally find it worrying that i've logged on/thought about runescape every day since January 2009.

Runescape pulled me through the good times and the shit times, but i also have to admit that it made the shit times shittier.
I managed to quit in september 2012, but i just migrated to this private server so i won't count that.
I quit said private server in Jaunary 2013 but then runescape 2007 came out the following month and i instantly jumped onto that.
Now i've managed to not play runescape for two weeks. Whenever i feel the urge to play i go do something else, play another game, walk the dog, etc.
I will, however, admit that for the last 3 days i've been compulsively playing this private server called revolutionx. Quitting that as of today, and i've already destroyed/gave away every account on there i own.

As for runescape, this is going to be my plan -
Suicide bot on runescape 2007 until i get banned or reach 99 in Attack, Strength and Defence. If i succeed i will sell the account immediately, and if i fail....good riddance anyway
But what i'd like to know is should i actually go through with this or should i just change my password to a random jumble of letters and be done with it.

 

accounts aren't worth anything anymore. so if i were you i'd just casually bot it off / on and just not play anymore. think about all the work you put into the account. getting banned would suck after all those years.

1, give away all your wealth.
2, go to a hacking site and post limited details about it.
3, sit back and watch your account get locked.

 

I've already handed out all of my wealth on runescape 2007, i'm going to begin suicide botting now.

I don't really care about my account anymore since i don't really want anything to do with the Eoc servers. I've only put about 40 hours of work into Runescape 2007 so it's not too much skin off my back.
I simply want no incentive or reason to return to runescape anymore, otherwise it's all too tempting.

 

Why even bother suicide of you don't want to play anymore? If you're going to quit.. Simply quit. Nothing more, nothing less. Just quit.

 

Sounds like an attempt to hold onto the game.

 

Do more irl activites to fill the void. Like sports! =] The less free time, the better.

 

When I play I'll always choose IRL over RS.
If either I or my friends want to do something I do it; Instead of thinking nah I want to play RS today.

you need to just stop thinking about it. I was able to quit for almost a year, it really aint that hard
