    No Vouches For No Trust

I'll be honest the ammount of trust involved in the trade is pretty well almost zero except for usually I get the 500k or less in the initial trade then give him the items. The extent of the trust is pretty well that I don't give them random junk and actually the items required to complete the quest but I see it similar to those who buy/sell gold to big buyers do they actually gain any trust, not really they went first but they get vouches.

i see it as the same as gfx vouches, which aren't allowed. Why should there be vouches for something that has no trust element. isn't that why gfx vouches aren't allowed?

Elena, Vouches should be given for trust. When making a post on Sythe saying you are selling in game items for in game money, there is ZERO trust or risk involved.

As both players will enter a trade screen, once both parties have placed their agreed goods/price in the trade window, both parties then click accept to have the trade complete inside the game.

E.G - We're both browsing the runescape forum. You make a post saying you're buying a santa hat for gold in the game, I then PM you or post back on the thread saying I can sell you one for the desired price you wish to buy it at.

We then agree to meet up in game, you put the santa hat in the trade window, I also put the agreed amount of gold in the window, we both accept twice - Trade over.

Again, there is no trust involved at all. Therefore not needing a vouch

Definition of vouch - "1. To give personal assurances; give a guarantee: vouch for an old friend's trustworthiness." - When meeting in game there is no 'trusting' of either party involved.

Also, vouches should only be given to those who go second, when conducting virtual items for real money or money for virtual items

Trust is subjective and opinionated. I trust some people with 0 vouches more than others with 1000. No support.

With that said, have you traded with these people before / on other websites etc?

For example, do you trust me (zero vouches) more then some people on here with 1000+ vouches?

Trust is based on ones own opinion.
You can get a vouch for pretty much any trade. If you take 30 seconds of your time to look at the quality of vouches then you have nothing to worry about.

She/he is just trying to get the post count up on her account don't look at them it's just a waste of time and not on subject.

I agree with everyone on how it takes 30 seconds but A LOT of people get scammed on this website and I feel as if just by making a small rule like this it could help them out a lot. I'm sure if someone came up to you and said "hey I have 1000 vouches go first to me for $500 dollars". The person would surely say yes and check the vouches and they could all be from trades like this. The person could end up scamming and the newcomer would probably never come to this site again. The scam report would be huge and it would be like trusted members of this site scam.

A said many times, look at the quality, rather than quantity. Even tho I do not do in game trades, I do not support this suggestion. I never just look a the quantity of vouches. Look at how big the trade was, how much "trust" was involved in the trade.

In all honesty it's no different then a small selling of gold most trades conducting are two inventories worth of stuff and the buyer pays first considering it's around 200k or 1/5th of 1m which can be valued 6$ ish. One could technically not give the second inventory and essentially steal 1.20$ which would be classified as scamming. It's a trust trade due to most quest kits not fitting in one inventory. Yet again I'll say that if the rule is approve I'll promptly remove my vouches achieved through direct RSgp-> quest kit but it may be hard to determine whether or not it was a 07 trade because I traded some quest kits for PayPal and others for eoc gp which are less of what you guys are discussing.

I could vouch for any of you saying you're a good person and I trust you, it's not for us to define the content of vouches. It's up to the buyer to determine whether they trust that person and how they decipher the quality of vouches.

no support to be honest i mean, what is trust on a online black market site truly anyways?

a vouch isn't a sign of trust, it's a sign that a trade was completed as intended.

Trust is what you determine, not some pixels written on a screen.

I know that someone should look more but what about GFX? Because they're small and pointless? Same with intrade vouches, if we can vouch for in trade vouches then why not GFX? It really doesn't make sense.

I don't understand why you cannot vouch for gfx but there is some trust involved in most trades on the site. Not all quest kits sold are sold directly ingame 50% of the quest kits I sell are paid for in eoc or PayPal and the buyer goes first unless I trust them then I go first. This isn't any different then purchasing 150k (average cost of quest kits) so why wouldn't one receive a vouch for a trade like this?

Well I consider a trade a trade but if we said no vouches unless it is worth say $50. But think about all the rsgp trades it doesn't matter if I trust arcus with 100 mil or 1 mil. It's all the same. The OP makes it seem like the trades are for off RS. Obviously they are talking on messenger about the trade. I don't really think his rule change will effect. The legit traders wil use a mm if that is needed to conduct business. Regardless I believe N4N0 trusting me with a white phat is trust. Same way I trust some members in my inner circle who talk to me almost daily.

I know I'm just saying most of these items are like under 500k 07gp and there low-value trades.

I never directed this to you at all. There are more people who sell kits and receive a vouch, if they're paying with eoc and payapal I believe there should be a vouch but if it's a trade just from site to site I believe there should be no vouches.

I know it wasn't directed at me but I believe if I'm being honest have acquired the most vouches from quest kits 50% being sold for eoc or 07 and about 50% being sold for PayPal. I actually think the idea of this is good. I could convert over to recommendations on my thread for straight 07 items to 07 gold due to the small trust level and vouches for eoc/PayPal. If this is what the community chooses :)
Btw: When I said it was directed to me I didn't mean it like you trying to single me out or anything close to that I just meant its most applicable to me and the way you worded o.p was well done and thought out.
