Charged Backed Payments & Doxing

Hello,

I am just wanting enquirer if DOX'ing of a scammer is aloud/Legal on sythe. Are you aloud to find out there information and contact them to prompt the returning of goods/money.

Scenario:

User1 - Seller
User2 - Scammer

User1 has just sold 1b to User2. The payment has just been charged back by User2 and has no intentions to explain reasons why or has made any efforts to contact you. User1 has started to gain a file of information (DOX) and has been able to contact the parents/guardians or user2 himself. User1 issues threats of legal action prompting details of user2 and therefore resolving the problem.

Outcome 1: User2 gives the game up, hands back the goods/money and all is well.

Outcome 2: User2 does not reply nor admits to anything, legal charges a pressed and User2 is in deep trouble.

If this is legal or there is a thin line between the wrong and right would you please be able to state this?

If Is there is also certain elements in this that would break sythe rules please point them out.

I would of thought so, saying DOXing makes you sound like a skid tho lol. Of course finding out information legally like from PP records and email if your trying to contact a scammer is fine.

 

Sythe.org does not provide IPs, etc. Individual traders have every right, however, to gather any/all information on those they trade with and contact these traders if necessary. Traders can file police reports as well. If someone is being harassed by another trader, they should contact their local law enforcement. You're always allowed to try and recover stolen property here and communication is obviously necessary.

 

It's the same in life situations, it's allowed to be done to cause justice.

 

Your best bet is to get legal action done, though I doubt police will do much as it's a hard thing to prove.
