Will 07 end up being like EOC?

Hard to tell. I doubt it will lose players anytime soon.

Prices: sure, eventually everything will drop to eoc prices. This won't be for a very long time.

Players: I think OSRS will maintain a steady player-base while eoc has more potential to dip down...

Gameplay: Never!

 

I don't think jagex will make any major changes to 07rs, they already have a game they can fuck up lol.

 

07 will probably die down faster than eoc because they are not releasing any new game content on it

 

07 probably will go down.

 

It will die down and EoC will eventually become more popular than 07, but 07 will never become a ghost town

Every major change for 07, jagex is running by the community, as they made too many mistakes with EoC. It won't die off for a long while, especially if jagex keep doing what makes the community and players happy.

It's defiantly going to die, just in how long is the question though. I'd say its still got a veryy long time to go. On the other hand though, I wonder how long 07 rsgp will stick around the $10/m mark for?

 

the 07rsgp is already dropping, people are already starting to accumulate decent stacks of cash. I can't see 07 scape growing much because it only appeals to players who have played the game before so its not really open to any new gamers.

 

People don't play EoC mainly because of the combat update imo.

 

Really good point here. Still, 07scape still manages to maintain a playerbase of 30k+ daily which is pretty impressive.

As for the date of death, probably around September 2013 when they add the additional fee, lol.

 

It will be around for a while, I give it another 7 years maybe more. If they keep doing what people want they will stay a float.

 

Don't forget that Jagex are possibly adding an additional $5 fee in September, that would bring the "death" of the servers much closer.
