Limit On Post Count Per Day

Hey recently I have noticed that a lot of peoples post per day are 12+ and they really just spam there post count and bring up no new ideas just to get there post count up. I see tons of new members having 25 posts a day then scamming a week later because there post count makes them look legit. I know this could harm people's services but I don't think people have to talk to people about their services 15 times a day. I have no set number but this is getting ridiculous.

 

Lol, limiting the amount people can post on a public forum. Worst suggestion I have seen, just report the spam.

 

No support, There are so many sections on the forums it is very easy to post more then 15 times a day. If you actually look around outside of the box. No reason to put a cap on it.

Post count is in no way a measure of someones legitimacy, just report spam posts for spam.

No support. If they are not spamming, they can post all they want. Just as long as the post adds something to the conversation.

 

It would discourage people from posting and possibly from using the forum at all or less frequently. Just report spam posts as spam.

 

I agree with what Sellerman had to say. If it is spam, just report. Enough spam would lead to infractions.

As for your reasoning behind this (kids raising their post count to look legit): Their are 2+ people involved in a trade. It's the other persons job to figure out whether or not the person they are trading is legit. That is probably why sythe allows other members to check one another's previous posts and threads created. Also, MM can be used.

Overall, I understand where you're going with it, but I think this is one of the smaller problems that sythe has to handle.

 

I mean if you look at their posts half of them are agreeing what people say just re-wording it, they bring no real topics. If you report them for spam it's technically on topic but it's just repetetive to clearly get your post count up. was kind of a stupid suggestion haha

 

Stupid idea. blocking people from posting on sythe once they reach a limit. what good will that do us? people will continue to spam no matter what..

 

Yet I don't see you making the point that over half of the people here have said just report it as spam. I don't see you complaining about that. Your very bias in your argument of why we should or shouldn't be able to post.

 

Not really blocking was a really poorly thought idea but it's just annoying looking at threads and seeing the same thing over and over again.
