New build - $1700-$1900

I was looking to build a new rig and wanted some opinions before i went spending-crazy.

that plus the OS is about 1800ish, and i still need to choose a cooling system. Anyone care to help me out?

 

You could get a H110 and some nice fans for $150

 

drop cpu to i5 3570k if only gaming, drop case to a lower model. add ssd(120gig), something like this would do well. http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=75142&vpn=SDSSDP-128G-G25&manufacture=SANDISK

cos if you're spending $2k on a build you're braindead not to add a SSD.

 

You should tell us what you're doing with the computer first. Gaming, editing, BTC mining, runescape?

I'm going to assume you're gaming.

I would invest some cash in a nice monitor. IPS 1920x1080/1200 or if one of those korean IPS 2460x1440 monitors. Dell u2312hm or U2411s are great monitors <4k res.

Get a nice keyboard and mouse. Do some research on a mechanical keyboard switch you would want. G400 is the best mouse imo.

Also, DEFINITELY get a solid state drive. I use a Crucuial M4 128Gb SSD.
