Ip ban?

I have recently started running 2-3 bots on 07scape in order to get more accounts to stake on.
So my question is, is it possible that my main account gets banned although i never used a bot on it just because other accounts were botting on the same ip?

In my 8+ years of experience I've never seen or heard of an IP ban (that I can recall).
And rarely do they even chain ban accounts on the same IP.

 

No, just the accounts you are botting will be banned. IP ban is reserved for extreme cases like rwt

Possible you could get IP banned, or just the account you bot on could just get banned..

 

It is not impossible to get IP banned. Players that have heavily abused glitches (for example, the fally massacre guy) and are notorious for gambling/goldfarming are IP banned sometimes.

I would nearly bet my life they will not ip you for botting, in snow patrols case I'd assume more they watched logins on his ip and either banned the other 3 accounts because you rwt'd on them, or traded one of your other accounts with it while being watched or some variant of the above.

The main reasoning for them not being able to do this, is that they haven o way to show that its their own computer they are banning, they could easily be at a friends house, or a public computer in which case innocent people would be banned. This was stated sometime ago in a rsof thread someone was complaining about why they don't I.p. ban. there other reason was is too simple to change your ip and thus would be futile.

It's possible. I've gotten an IP ban on a vps before for botting/RWT. IP bans don't do much good though

 

not true, they wont ip ban but rarely they do ban all accounts associated with that ip.

 

i seen durial321 in 07 scape so obviously he's not ip banned..

 

Bot smart. You get banned if you goldfarm like picking flax or something like that. Skilling will only result in a 20 day ban. Buy a private script incase of going with the mass.
