Botting Bans Question

Is it safe to use free bots on a near maxed, never before botted, members account. Or would you be likely to get banned regardless. If it is safe how many hours per day is safe? If you answer the hours number do you have the experience to back it up? If so please describe it a little bit please.

If you suggest paid scripts, how much do they generally cost and how much more hours per day could I safely get out of them?

If there is a likely risk or a high chance of being banned in eventuality I have no interest in losing a near max account. The risk needs to be like almost non-existent for me to be interested.

There's always a risk with botting but ive botted 80-90 fishing, 90-99 woodcutting and 80-90 theiving on an account with 2300+ total. Just don't bot for long periods of time.

 

Thank you very much redav, please allow me to rephrase my question quickly. When you say there is always a risk with botting, how much of a risk are we talking about? Do you have a percentage or do most bots get banned in eventuality even at a high level. I'm looking for a ballpark likelihood, thanks.

Depends, it's random. There is no answer, if you're just unlucky to get either reported loads or get caught up by a Jagex bot banning operation then you're fucked. Obviously if you baby sit it and take breaks and do it from your hope IP in a place like USA or UK it would be less obvious but there is still a risk.

 

If you babysit the bot and talk to people while playing I'd say you have a higher chance of getting caught by the police smoking weed in your basement.

 

No one can give you a 100% answer it varies on so much:

• Hours botted
• What skill
• Where you bot
• How many days you do it for
• The bot itself
• How many people are using the same bot

I've botted a near maxed account. If you bot sensibly 8 hours a day tops in a non-heavily botted activity then you should be fine. Key is also not to bot in botwatch areas (LRC, Dung, Slayer).

But it greatly depends on how the script is written. Most bots don't get banned eventually you can get banned anytime all a part of luck aswell.

You won't find a definate % a bit of luck and being sensible about botting you should be fine

 

Man I used to be scared but honestly botting is a risk and sometimes accounts do get banned but honestly I feel like there's a very low chance as long as you aren't suiciding something stupid like wc or flax or something. Botting fletchinf alching and superheater there's barely any. Chance..


But just to give you an idea of how slim it is

In like 2009 I botted from 13 to 34m hunter xp on my main account, leaving it on literally all day long..only stopping to hop worlds once in a while

Auto clicked 99 Mage in about a week

Botted another acc in hunter from 63 to 91 in a row...


Mind you this was when rs buddy was around and had flawless bots but as long as you don't use stupid scripts you'll be fine..

I've botted 100s of hours at fight caves pc crafting...man it's not likely at all but it is scary because it DOES happen sometimes...me personally have only had 1 acc banned that I got from 1 to 93 wc In like 2 weeks botting...

 

It's just luck.

 

Thank you all for your very detailed responses. So what I have gathered so far is:

-there are so many variables a specific rate cannot be given
-If you bot intelligently you will most likely be fine
-paid scripts are better

and finally and most importantly; there is always a possibility of getting banned when botting if you are unlucky as high leveled bots are banned regularly out of sheer misfortune.

I will close this thread with one final question. Are all the four things I mentioned within this post correct? (Is there anything else I should know?)

I recommend botting only 8 hours max a day, 12 hours total a day including game time. Remember, you want to act like a real player.

That's not always neccessarily 100% true. Yes the scripts are better as they have more work put into them and less people will buy scripts, but don't buy paid scripts for bot watch areas like I said above: Dung, LRC and Slayer.

It also depends on which bot you use aswell >_<

List of bots

Above it a list of bots. Many users go to PB due the the vast number of scripts but due to many users using the same scripts repeatedly there is more of a chance of being banned.

I'd suggest before you use any script read the comments if it has any bugs, recent bans, etc... that will also help keeping your account from being banned.

 

Everything is correct except paid scripts. There are some pretty flawless free scripts. Generally paid scripts are great. So keep that in mind. Baby sit bot and dont do 24hr bot sessions. Bot when you are awake. Turn it off when you sleep. Or vise versa
