Ranged tank?

How am I meant to train defence on a ranged tank?

Am I meant to just use PC and gather points for my defence?

Other than that the only way I can possibly see to train is to use the defence method on range/mage which is very slow.

Any Suggestions would be lovely.

 

If your going for maxed range tank you can easily get 74 attack/str without gaining a combat..
Just keep an eye on combat calculators to see what attack/str you can get without leveling and do it that way.

 

Like he said you can get 70 attack and if you save some money you can buy a whip. From here you can train on ankous, bandits, ape atol monkeys, etc.

 

get 60 atk/str and train def at yaks/experiments/slay/etc.

 

As a range tank your atk and str can add up to 148.

I'm going to be getting 70 atk/str and then whip training my def

 

well it really depends on the type of range tank you want to make it, do you want low hp or high?

then the next question is how low cb do you want your account (due to melee levels)

you could keep about 40 att/str and just grind defence training with a rune scim, if you are ok with that kind of training to keep your combat level low.

Other than that it's really Pest control, grind with melee stats, or use defence style with range (really slow)
