Link colors

This one is the link color. And this one is normal text color. Maybe my eyes are just losing the capacity of saturation distinction due to staying all day in front of a screen, but eh. =P My point here is, it's quite hard to know that there's a link if you decide to put a text instead of a url.

Did you realise that the "to put a text" in the last sentence is a link? Probably yes, but if your monitor didn't had good a contrast you surely wouldn't see it. It already happened to me before. I say "here is the link", and the other guy asks "where?".

So instead of using #D6D6E7, why don't we use #85C4FF or something else that stands out more? Using text-decoration: underline would also help a lot.




Another problem related to the links is the hover color on the navbar:

See? We can barely see the "Town Hall" text when hovering it. Actually, we can barely see it even in normal link color. Of course, this apllies to the entire navbar text.


Soo... yeah, that's it, just a quick suggestion. I know nothing stated here is crucial or anything, but can help us having a better "posting experience". =P And it's such a quick thing to change, all is needed is to go to the main css file and change the a:link and a:hover. Unless if this website don't use a main css, but eh, kinda unlikely nowadays. EDIT: Whoops, it actually does lol.

Its just the new theme that's made it hard to read. If you revert to the old one then you instantly read it fine.

Probably be easier to ask MoonGlare to make a small adjustment to that part of the background so the text is easer to read. Or ask Richard to adjust the link colour.

 

I support this fully. The new link color you suggested is perfect, and the links at the top of the page do need to be more visible when you hover over them.

Although I can't say I've ever missed an important link because of this, I will chip in my support and would welcome the change.

 

Usually I just manually change the colour. But if it's an issue then why not?

 

I'm pretty sure you cannot change the colour of links even if you try to.

Oh, I didn't know you had to include the colour tag within the URL tag, thanks. Nevertheless it would be more practical and fitting to have this done automatically to a slightly different shade of blue.

support, i also underline the [u]link[/u]. would be nice to see this take effect, make it much easier to see and more appealing.
